I always want to know the year something came out

Any time I watch a movie/TV show or listen to a song, I almost always am curious as to what year it came out and either look at the guide on the TV or look it up online.

I also like finding out what year certain buildings in my town were built (it drives me nuts if I can't guess a general timeframe by looking at the architecture and design, which is hard for buildings that have been around awhile and have been extensively remodeled), what year a specific car is (to a lesser degree), and what year or general era certain things were made.

I also like knowing what general era certain trends were popular, especially when it comes to stuff like architecture and interior design. In fact, I was doing some work inside a house the other day, and it was driving me nuts that I couldn't remember roughly what era that style of cabinet was from.

    Have you recently turned 30?

I think this happens to everyone eventually. It gets worse the older you get. Eventually you will be watching a film with your partner and will spend the entire film discussing which era and location it is set in based on the vehicles, clothes, phones, accents, music, scenery, hair styles etc. You will miss the whole film but you will still have enjoyed it.

Normal. But be thankful you live in the internet age when you can easily look things up.
