I always have to put a blanket on my tv...

OK this is messed up.

Well heres the story, whenever i go to bed i have to put a blanket over my tv screen, turn it off, unplug it from the power sockets and flick the switch off at the power. Same with my laptop and xbox.

Its especially hard with my xbox because theres about 6 connectors and wires.

It became a habit from about 12 years old

well you are saving electricity when you unplug things from the wall socket. even if the electronic is off it will still suck out power if its plugged. so, at the very least your helping your planet & saving money...

If you are worried about being spied on then, you certainly don't want to buy the new xbox. That camera's always on and watching you... O_O

A TV I used to have sort of had a glow to the screen at night even when turned off... so I would unplug it too... If you're really sensitive to light at night, a reflection off the tv could be bothersome, so it's not super wierd... a bit unusual though.

Ok. I understand everything except for the blanket stuff...

    Saves power. Protects from surges...
