She always seems to get looked at and people seem to like her instantly. I feel so ugly when we go somewhere and every guys eyes go straight at her. There's been lot's of guys who liked her in 2009. But I didn't even have a relationship or kiss someone all year....
I have always been really insecure around one of my really pretty tall friends, she is so funny and nice and i feel like i cant even compare to her, but if i look at myself honestly i remember that i have just as many good qualities as she does, and that we are different people and we cant be equal on every plane. Just know that you are special and great too, and, like P. Flowers said, she probably envies a lot of things about you too.For instance, my pretty friend just told me today how she's jealous of my butt, i never knew that! haha
That's your insecurities talking. For all you know, she could envy something about you. I feel like that about many people (not necessarily looks - just who they are). You know what, the best thing you can do is carry on being you and keep trying to be a better you.
Also, if a guy likes you because of your looks, that's not necessarily a good thing. That's not love - that's lust. There are advantages and disadvantages to everything.
Have some confidence in yourself :)
To be honest, the same this happened to me. My friend always gets more attention than I do. All the boys drool over her as well... And which is a real pain in the ass, is that she rubs it in my face, AND she brags about. It sucky, but that's the kind of girl she is. But, what I did, and what I think you should do, is realize that you are beautiful, amazing, and you will get that 'more attention' one day. But for now, you're just you. You always will be just you. Being just you is incredible, and no one else can change that. To be honest, who cares? You're amazing, so you shouldn't care. So what your friend gets more attention, or you think she's prettier? You shouldn't give a single fuck in the world, because you are being the most beautiful, and best person you could be. Don't think about that bullcrap!
My friends say that they hate going places with me because guys always tend to come to me first. But there's alot I envy of all of my friends I'm sure your friend envys something about you
Insecurities are so not fun! I used to have this issue, but ever since I overlooked it and went out and tried my best to be my best me, I made more friends, guys started to notice my confidence. If guys is what you are worrying about, then I have an instant way to get you noticed. Guys love women who are confident and love themselves despite their flaws. Be confident, it helps you on a mental, physical, and emotional level. Ever since I quit worrying, guys that would never approach me, approach me now, and we hang out. You are your own person, embrace your inner awesomeness. :)
Is she really BETTER than you? Being socially stronger is just an acquired skill, just like you are better than her at something. Looks aren't everything, looks get you laid, but do they make you any smarter? Then again it all depends on what you value, unless you change your values you're hopelessly lost my friend.
