I always feel like i'm becoming fat.

I'm 5'2 and 105lbs. My BMI says i'm not fat, but everytime I look in the mirror I think that i'm on the verge of being fat. I've gotten far too obsessive lately and have barely eaten this past week. BUT, I still look fat. I just wanna be a tad on the skinny side but im afraid i'll be on a diet the rest of my life and still not be satisfied.

I wish I was as 'fat' as you... Damn.. Anyway, I'd say if you want perfection, you need to exercise. Try to steer more towards being muscular instead of stick skinny. It's a healthier and better goal. Plus it's attractive, probably more than being stick skinny.

don't let it get over you: fat or not... just do excercise... you will stay in a level where you won't increase your curves and still, be able to eat enough :1

I'm a guy, so I'm kind of stepping out of my zone to talk to you, but the other night I was sitting with some people eating dinner and the chick next to me had french fries for dinner. I consider myself in pretty good shape; I work out, go running (because I enjoy running - I don't have to make myself do it) etc. Sometimes I eat fast food, or pizza, or maybe just a salad. But what you're describing doesn't sound healthy. You're going to become anemic. You're going to trick your body into developing problems it shouldn't have. It's all in your mind. If you want to look good, be healthy. Being healthy means exercising, burning off the calories you take in, and not starving yourself. You're not going to become fat if you follow a few simple rules, but if you sit around acting lazy and eating all the time, then yes; you will become fat. It's pretty simple. Just don't eat french fries for dinner for Christ's sake...

i'm not sure if you have heard about the law of attraction? i started reading up on it a few years ago.. it goes by the law that whatever your thoughts, goood or bad, the most dominant are ALWAYS attracted into your experience..

weight gain ALWAYS starts with feelings like that, trust me.. I've been yoyoing for a while now..

but this always gets me on track again when my thoughts turn a little distructive. cover your mirrors while trying this littl eexperiment.. you don't wanna be judging yourself..
every morning as soooon as you wake up and every evening before you go to bed spend 10 minutes imagining your perfect body, just trust that you feel absolutely perfect NOW and that the weight has melted off. really feeel exactly how you would feel at your perfect weight in a perfect day in summer laying on the beach. don't let those distructive thoughts creep in! stay positive because you only want to do the best things for yourself when you feel amazing.

your feelings and thoughts create your world:)

    think beautiful, goodluck!

I think it's great that you take care of your body, that you are concerned about your weight, ensuring that you don't get fat. But, I think you're going about it the wrong way.

I'm assuming you are female, and that you are doing this in order to remain attractive to men, given that most men prefer women who are thin. I'm also assuming that you see the pattern around you of most women becoming fat, as they grow older, and you don't want that to happen you.

I also prefer thin women. A girlfriend of mine, from a few years back, weighed about the same as you, although I think she was one inch shorter. So, I'm assuming you are pretty close to your "ideal weight." According to the 1959 Met Life insurance height/weight tables, and assuming you have a "small frame," your "ideal weight" is said to be somewhere between 105 and 113 lbs (this should only be used as a rough indicator).

But, here is the problem. If you are "barely eating," if you are intentionally starving yourself over long periods of time, this will be bad for your health. This is known as a low-calorie diet, and the effect is to deprive the body of essential nutrients. Although fat cell storage in the body can be reduced, this effect is only temporary. Moreover, the lack of sufficient protein will cause muscles to shrink. With extreme low-calorie dieting, vital organs can shrink--and this can become a dangerous medical condition.

However, the whole idea of low-calorie dieting (semi-starvation dieting) is based on a false premise: that weight gain is caused by eating too much. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the cause. Weight gain from excess fat accumulation in the body is caused by the high levels of carbohydrates contained in modern foods, especially the refined carbohydrates.

If you want to ensure that you remain thin for life--and healthy--I would suggest looking into *low-carbohydrate* nutrition as a permanent solution. This will keep you at your natural slender "ideal weight." Anything thinner, however, is arguably unhealthy.
