I actually like charles manson's songs.

Okay, this has been bothering me for awhile now.
You see, I was bored one day, and for some reason this ended up with me on Youtube looking up Charles Manson's songs, just out of curiosity.

I thought that if I heard one, I could laugh at how bad it would be, but as it turns out, the first song I heard was actually...quite nice. I mean, it wasn't crazy sounding, it was more like, well, old hippie music.

So, I listened to a few more songs, and ended up liking them as well. I mean, I'm not a huge fan, and some of his songs are, ehh, not really that interesting to me.

Still, I was quite surprised at how lovely some of his songs were, for example, ' Home Is Where You're Happy" " Get On Home" " I'll Never Say Never To Always."

I understand how strange and disturbing this might be to most people, but rest assure I, in no way, think Charles Manson is a good person, I know what he did was wrong, but I do not think that means I can not like some of the songs that he has written.

What do you think of this?

I really like Hitler's art. This is genuine, by the way. Killing six million people doesn't affect skills in other areas. It's possible to be both a hate figure and a talented artist at the same time. Doing something wrong doesn't eliminate anything positive.

It's completely ok to like his music, it's separate from the things he did. It would be ignorant to ignore good art because you disagree with other things the artist has done.

Personally, I don't really rate his music but he's one of my favourite manipulators.

  • I used to sample his quotes in my old band.

Well, he was a musician to begin with. Kind of like how OJ wasn't a bad football player but he was obviously a shitty husband XD

I just wouldn't go around telling everyone that you're a fan.

          • Marilyn mansons music is really monotonous and bland. Charles Manson's music isn't to bad though..

Yeah, it's the manipulative, murderous psychopathy that sucks about Charlie.

No, Manson (Brian Hugh Warner) came up with his stage name by combining Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. The original members all had names combining a female icon with a serial killer, to represent the balance between male and female, good and evil, etc. His bassist/guitarist Twiggy Ramirez got his stage name from the combination of English model Twiggy Lawson and satanic serial killer Richard Ramirez AKA "The Night Stalker". Drummer Ginger Fish got his stage name from the combination of actress Ginger Rogers and child molestor/cannibal/serial killer Albert Fish. Other past members who followed the pattern were Zsa Zsa Speck (Zsa Zsa Gabor and Richard Speck), Daisy Berkowitz (Daisy Duke and David Berkowitz "Son of Sam"), Olivia Newton Bundy (Olivia Newton-John and Ted Bundy), Gidget Gein RIP (Sandra Dee character Gidget and Henry Lee Lucas) and Madonna Wayne Gacy (Madonna and John Wayne Gacy).

Zim Zum, John 5, Tim Skold and current members Chris Vrenna and Andy Gerold didn't follow the pattern.

    • That was just a myth. He was in prison for some reason or another when they were holding the auditions for the monkees.
