I absolutely refuse to believe sandy hook was real, iin?

Now I know you guys are going to say that I'm trolling or lying or whatever, but I swear that I'm not. I've never believed for 1 second that sandy hook actually happened. FIRST, doesn't anyone find it suspicious that it happened right before Christmas, it just happened to be exactly 20 kids who were killed, Adam's death record says a day BEFORE the shooting, and that IMMEDIATELY after it politics began pushing anti-gun laws. I have spent hours and hours studying this, sometimes even missing sleep, because I feel like I need to prove this political hoax to the world. SECOND, Adam Lanza never existed. There are many yearbooks in which his photo never appeared and most of his other photos were photoshopped, and he doesn't have a lot of public records. THIRD, the school shown on the news was NOT Sandy Hook, it was actually St.Rose preschool. Logically, police would secure the other school so a copycat attack wouldn't happen, so what about the real Sandy Hook? There is plenty more but I'll stop there. is it normal to be so obsessed with trying to prove my opinion? Also, I created a poll to see how many people agree/disagree with me. So IIN?

How dare you! 20
I disagree, but I respect your opinion 11
You may be on to something but still not enough proof 14
I now agree 2
I've agreed for a long time 8

Ok. Well, many of the "victims" can be found in pictures with Obama after the shooting as a start. Sandy Hook was also on a map on a batman movie made before the shooting occurred. An internet article about a support fund was found which was published on December 11th, several days before the shooting happened. There are also eyewitness account of a 2nd or even 3rd shooter at the school with Lanza that day. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, Google "sandy hook conspiracy" for more.

There's lots of places called Sandy Hook that exist. It's a fairly common name. I believe they explain the fundraiser as so: you can change the name of a facebook account and the name will change but it won't reflect the date the name changed. It will still say the page was created on the date it actually was created.

Could be possible. Not quite sure.
Haven't done any research on it, just saw it on the news.
Tho I like a good conspiracy theory.
Gives you more aspects to think about.

Let me ask a couple questions..

First, what sources were you using when you researched this topic? There are a lot, and I do mean a lot of sources out there that will say certain things, but have no concrete evidence to back it up, so just be wary of that.

Second, what made you believe that this was all a hoax? If you don't believe in Sandy Hook, what about other incidents such as the Colorado movie theater shootings or Columbine etc.

Third, if you don't mind, would you be willing to share with me or the IIN community the sources you used that led you to this conclusion?

In my opinion, I really believe that people ''buy into'' conspiracy theories because they piece together a couple facts that may or may not seem plausible and call it a conspiracy. It's almost like an easy way out when it comes to finding out what really went on. And don't even get me started on the whole September 11th thing lol. In summation, I'm not saying you are wrong, but I am very skeptical of things like this...

I'll have to find the sites that I used, I've long had all the information I needed so I forgot most of the sites that I used but I will tell you when I find them again (probably sometime tomorrow). The reason I believe it was a hoax is because the whole story doesn't make any sense at all in the first place even without the evidence against it. The Aurora shooting and Columbine shooting occurred in a very public and had many witnesses, unlike the secluded Sandy Hook with virtually no witnesses.

Never heard of the idea to could be a hoax, but I'm skeptical by nature and trust the media less and less every day so I'm open to the possibility.

I can assure you that Sandy Hook does exist. I have anchored there and driven there by boat and car. It is just outside NY harbor on the north tip of NJ.

Ive discussed this with a few people most of whom admit they are conspiracy theorists. I agree that in this case there are a lot of unexplained things that don't make sense. Know what I think? Its possible that this awful act was done for some reason (gun control? fear mongering? who can say) but it isn't the first time a tragedy occured and were still not sure what actually happened. It certainly made me upset about sending my kid to school.

  • Ellenna

The pro-gun lobby in Australia came out with similar crap after the horrific Port Arthur massacre: according to them the shooter was innocent and "they" created the whole thing to bring in stronger gun control.

Absolute rubbish of course, and the federal laws controlling guns were one of the few good things that particular prime minister did.

I just do not understand why in the name of "freedom" you Americans allow these lunatics to run around shooting whoever they like, what about the freedom of the victims to live?

I wouldn't mind betting your own gun lobby is behind this particular conspiracy theory: check your sources!

Another thing I don't understand is how people can make jokes about such a tragic event: maybe that's part of the attitude that allows these massacres to happen?

    • CanadianCowboy

This isn't any sort of "joke" or anything. I'm sure very few Americans are like this "Adam Lanza" person and the victims of real shootings do have the right to live, which is why I think instead of banning guns they should just create a better mental healthcare system for people who are dangerous.

      Comment Hidden ( show )
        -
      • Ellenna

And how long would that take? In the meantime it seems that often the first time people realise someone is really dangerous is when a massacre has already happened. The obvious fact is that if guns weren't so easily available less people would have them, less people would use them, less people would die ...... it aint rocket science, such common sense.

By all means improve mental (and all other) healthcare, from the point of view of basic human rights as well as to prevent violence, but ban guns as well.

"Never trust a government that doesn't trust it's own citizens with guns"
          -Benjamin Franklin
Without guns, who's to stop a government from doing whatever they want? It's taking power from the people and adding it to the government

          • Ellenna

As far as I can see, governments do pretty much what they want anyway and if we don't like it we can vote them out at the next election and vote in another lot who'll also do things we don't like: it's called DEMOCRACY. I think it was Winston Churchill who said that it's an unfair system but still the best one we have... or something like that. I don't really care what Benjamin Franklin said, wasn't he a slaveowner? And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he talking about defending against the british colonisers, not a duly elected government?

Even though philosophically I'm an Anarchist, I'd rather live in a society which votes out its opponents rather than shoots them out, or do you think civil wars are a good idea?

Given what tiny proportion of Americans actually vote, I reckon you get the government you deserve anyway and I don't see their government shooting people (well at least not within its own borders)- isn't it the cops who do that?

Do you believe it's OK for every lunatic to own a gun without any restrictions at all? If you think there should be some restrictions, exactly what, and who would enforce them other than this government which needs armed citizens to defend themselves against?

  • cupcake_wants

Well I think it was probably real, but what I do think is that it was done deliberately to help people agree with taking away guns. it's funny how in the history or mankind, just NOW is when it start happens and when it's convenient for their political agenda it happens. Just like 9-11 was timed just right to get everybody pumped up for wars. If you research the Montauk boys and Al Bielik's account, which after studying all his material and Phil Schneider's and interestingly enough both men have been murdered. (Phil Schneider was "murder by suicide") because they spilled the beans about what they knew about the new world order's plans. Even before 9-11 was Phil Scheider's account when Clinton was still president.. he knew the path we were going towards.
