Hyperbaric therapy

I'm supposed to sign into a Hyperbaric Chamber Therapy Center.

Is it normal to be afraid of this machine?

There is no reason to be afraid of a Hyperbaric Chamber. It is common to fear the unknown, but you are in no danger whatsoever. Hyperbaric Chambers are used to force oxygen into damaged tissues to promote wound healing. It often makes the difference between saving a limb and amputation. To put in bluntly, you should be more worried about the condition you are receiving treatment for than the Hyperbaric Chamber.

It's 100%% normal to be afraid of it at first. I hear many good things about them though, it doesn't hurt, it may be a little small of a space, but do some deep breathing. Many people find it helps with various problems and is quiet relaxing. And you will probably only be in there 1hour(max.) at a time. If you panic or can't stand it, you can tell them and they will let you out of it. I understand the fear, they are not something everyone has even ever HEARD of let alone been in/seen one. but they have been studying the effect of it on a LOT of different problems and it seems a very good choice for most people, considering there are very very few to no side effects. Last week I had brain surgery, and I had never even been in a hospital over night. I was so scared, but afterwards I felt that the benefit outweighed the fear and I am so glad I have survived this. Best of luck to you

No, it should do you some good. But if you are afraid of enclosed spaces, maybe not.

Just think of it as a coffin, but filled with oxygen so you don't die, instead being kept alive in torment
