If he was secretly gay, it'd be a secret and you wouldn't know so couldn't react.
I'm fairly sure a guy that I was with for a short time was gay. Either that or he had some major sexual issue, like a major deviation....I broke it off with him and I ended up being angry about it just because I felt "used". I felt he's gotta know what's going on inside his head or any uncertainty he had, he had a responsibility to tell me and he didn't say a thing!! If someone's gay then I have NO issue with it whatsoever, it was the waste of time and the dishonesty that angered me. Don't USE me as your experiment or as a front for your parents or whatever the reason!! That's not right.
Maybe he didn't know he was gay (or was trying not to admit it). Give the guy a break. Just because he wasn't necassarily straight doesn't mean that he was "using" you, or that he was trying to be dishonest.
This is interesting and has nothing to do with the topic. I just realized that even if someone posts a rebuttal to someone's post, like you have, it doesn't necessarily mean that "people" are going to agree with the person with the last word. I agree with wigsplitz, oddly enough, and no "chances" would be given to someone who has deceived me. If the guy were not certain of his feelings, he should have told the OP much, much sooner.

He's probably bi, but I don't think he'd be gay. Tbh I've never heard of a gay male that wants to have a girlfriend or likes girls
If I ever got a boyfriend, and I found out he was gay, I would not be surprised at all. The fact that he is dating me would be enough proof that he is gay! haha

If your boyfriend is gay, then he probably doesn't want to be in a relationship with you (or any other girl)
I'd be angry that he hadn't told me sooner... being gay is not a problem for me (I'm bi myself)... I just wish he was able to truly satisfy his needs.
If he hid it, he's clearly ashamed or scared and needs someone to talk him through it.
And if you're not feeling that forgiving, realize that if you're kind, people will see that it's not as though you're so awful that you "turned him gay". If he accepts your help, he likes you - just maybe not that way.

I had a bf at one point that I found out was bisexual. My major concern was fear of him giving me HIV. However, if he's GAY then that means that he isn't attracted to women and is just in the closet and that wouldn't work out.

I actually know someone, who IS gay, but his parents forced him back into the closet after he came out to them and now he's dating a girl, but she doesn't know, I just wish he could be the guy I know he wants to be, to be the way he wants to be, to date a guy, because I KNOW he's gay, he dated a guy for a little bit, and when they dated, his boyfriend was the shy one, and him and his girlfriend haven't even KISSED, he confessed to us that he's in denial about it himself
If he hid it, I'd kill him (poison, stabbing, raping, etc.)
If he openly told me he was gay and in love, I'd be sad at first but congratulate their love.
Though...I suppose if it was a HUSBAND I'd been together for a LONG TIME, I'd kill him and his partner regardless.
