How would you feel about having a cheapskate partner?

Let me star of by saying that I am very careful with my money. However, I like investing in my health by eating healthily and buy good quality items.
My partner is a low income earner (earns enough to live comfortably) but chooses to:
Wear the cheapest clothes and wears them even when they holes in them.
Drives a crappy car which doesn't even have air conditioning. It gets extremely hot in the summer here in Australia.
Eats rice and tuna every single day for lunch.
Always orders less food when we go out to ear, if HE is paying. (I pay for things most of the time)

We have been together for a year, and I am a bit worried that if we were to ever move in together, he would expect for me to pay for all the groceries and expenses, because he prefers to live an extremely simple and clean life :/

How would your u feel if your partner was a cheapskate? Have you had any experiences Wilkie this, and if so how did you deal with them?

Am I being petty?

    It's normal. Just talk to him about it, but don't try to change him. See if you two can find middle ground on each others' differences.

    I became like that after my first son.. I wouldn't spend more that $10 on a blouse and stopped wearing nice clothes... Because of low income you might be able to help a little if you don't mind.. And buy better clothes for going out with you.. As long as it's not all you make that clear from the beginning..

    I couldn't do that because I enjoy indulging in things like expensive food and beer even though it means I can never afford anything else because I only like to live in the moment, but people like different things and should find someone with similar habits if that's what they want. Most people wouldn't like my lifestyle either because I spend all my money soon as I get it and live in poverty the rest of the time, but I never regret anything,
