How will the world look like in 50 years?

What the world will look like in 50 years depends upon how people live their lives now. If we work together to advance science and human rights and start thinking for ourselves, it could be a lot better. On the other hand if we collectively choose just to be apathetic, ignorant, it could be a whole lot worse.

The future doesn't just happen - we create it, with our every thought and action. So the world will look however the majority of people decide they want it to look like.

I'm an agnostic, and I'm not sure when the world will end. Nor am I sure if God's a person programming a computer. I can't say as to whether fortune-telling is accurate, however, I'm searching for God and I'm searching for the truth of ghosts and the supernatural.

It will be a ruined shithole.

I think people need to be aware of climate change, the rising population and the challenges of feeding them all, but I don't think the world will look very much different. That isn't to say we're not on a destructive pathway. Just that I think things will look the same; we'll just be closer to the point where we've pushed it too far and there really is no way back.

It's gonna stay the same with the exception of a little bit more technology. And everyone will have taken 50 years.

The planet will be overrun by stupid people, because smart people limit their families, but morons breed like flies. the gene pool is getting more polluted every day.

Being an Agnostic Atheist, I don't fully believe that the world is gonna just up and end in 2012, but sometimes I get the feeling that it will happen; y'know with the U.S being in so much debt, the whole rest of the world has to help them! and this will cause other countries to fail in other things too (crops, business, taxes)
PS. I'm 15 so don't judge me for what I'm saying because this could all be wrong. I'm just stating what I think.
The world could totally evolve in the next 50 years who knows!

I think it'll be pretty much the same, more people, things will be more expensive, more food shortages and probably more extreme weather.

People will stop using cell phones and once again talk to each other in person

The world will be stunningly normal:

Not a tree in sight, only traffic lights.

Animals will roam the empty streets with human skin bags slung round their shoulders.

There will be no water, just acid.

It will be considered an honor to self sacrifice your first born to 'projects of science'.

The snow will not stop, the sun will be gone.

The ice will at once feel hot and cold to touch...this is normal.

You will not fear fellow man, you will find yourself alive moment to moment unable to return to a thought, or recall a name, or...
