There's this guy (everyone hates him) wanted to be best friends with me after a few classes together, eager to hang out and always calls or texts me everyday.
Nice guy but not in that way, he asked me out this morning via text but i didn't reply. So.. advice on how to let a guy down without hurting his feelings too much etc.
Tell him I don't want to see you, because I have no feelings for you, regardless of how nice or amazing of a person you are, I'm just not wanting of a relationship further than friend.
Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy in these things. Say what you have to say clearly, and concisely so there is no doubt in his mind what you mean. And face to face!
It seems to me you already fucked up the situation by not answering his text. You're going to have to do some damage control now if you want to avoid being on his shit list.

I think by not replying to his text clearly shows how uninterested you are with him. Actions speak louder than words.
