How to forget his birthday?

i knew someone six years ago.we started as friend and then things got serious three years later.after a year, he broke up with me. but until now, i still can't forget him. yesterday was his birthday and i spent the whole day crying. it's hard to forget him since his birthday is the first day of the year. how can i forget? by staying in my room, i still could hear the fireworks.
