How to deal with a narcissist

Narcissist is kind of a blanket term, its vague. I like to focus more on the behaviors than the label itself. You cant just label everyone as a narcissist is the same. As some are serial killers and some are decent functioning people.

If it's a romantic relationship, cut your losses and move on. Narcissists never change, and they are a toxic influence on everyone else's life.

Narcissistic parents are more difficult to deal with since their offspring usually have to cope with them when they're young. The best way to deal with a narcissistic parent is to steel yourself for feeling a lot of guilt and get them out of your life as soon as you can.

My mom is a narcissist. My dad loves her dearly and does everything for her. His mom is the same way. So if you're familiar with the behavior, it might be ok. Even narcissists need love.

Ask the narcissist, "in what ways do you feel you need to grow, or change"? If you get a bewildered, or rageful response then you have just outed narcissist. There's nothing you can do to change a narcissist. So just dump the narcissist after you have outed him, or her.

Being with a narcissist is something you should only deal with if you absolutely must. If you can leave, gtfo.

Narcissists can be manipulated if you play into their ego. You can get what you want that way if you're smooth enough about it.
