How to cover my tracks

Long story short I snuck into a family members room to get something of mine back that's long forgotten, all good except I knocked a few pictures over and placed them back, they had a thick layer of dust over the frame so you can very clearly see i've moved them, anyone know how I can fix this, any way to simulate dust to cover it or anything like that,

I totally want to know what you stole!! Also, just empty out the vacuum- there should be loads of free dust in there.

    You're welcome ;)

    • I prefer the term reclaimed haha

And I don't know why I didn't think of that, there's always the loose stuff at the bottom, many thanks

    • It's on his desk and there are clearly viewable finger marks in the dust

Clean it all, wouldn't seem as strange as half clean.

What were you looking for anyway? Bribery material or something?

    • I'm hoping there's a chance it won't be noticed but clean it all and it'd even mote obvious, talking about some serious dust, the room would look three shades brighter,
Lol, no something that was borrowed so long ago my brother thought it was his, then forgot about it

      • Somebody whose lazy enough to never have dusted probably will not notice this at all. Maybe gently spread the rest of the dust over where it was wiped with a piece of toilet paper but don't press on it. just wipe it without pressing. But he is very unlikely to notice. Especially if he doesn't even notice a missing item.

The real question is why do you people live like swine?

I wouldnt try to get dust from a vacuum or simulate dust bcuz it just wont look the same, & itll be suspicious u went to so much trouble. I would just take maybe like a feather duster to minimize the dust difference being noticable as much as possible.

Go in and dust the whole room. Act like you are doing whoever a favor.

    • I would but trust me that's not believable I'm his younger brother who hasn't dusted in his life

Cover yourself in lint roller paper, roll around in uncooked macaroni, and ask him for a piece of provolone cheese. Once he gives it to you, dip it in paint, and toss it in his face. He'll be to preoccupied thinking about why that happened to notice all his dust that's missing from his room.
