How to convince a girl you'd make a good boyfriend?

There's this girl I kinda like. Let's call her Q. I've been flirting with her quite a bit, but once I found out she had a boyfriend I backed off. I continued making some playful remarks every now and then, but knowing that Q was taken I didn't make a move on her.

Skip to a couple of months later, when I'm at a friend's party. Enters a pretty stranger called X. We get along pretty well, and after a while we go to a secluded space and start making out.

After that, we went back and joined the rest of the group. Then Q arrived at the party. Quite late, and quite drunk. Turned out she left her boyfriend a couple of days ago, and she was a lot more... affectionate than she normally was.

I decided to be honest and tell her I kissed X that night. She didn't take it well. She called me a manwhore who'd do anything if he had the chance. She said that if the two of us ever got together, I'd drive her insane.

So that was a couple of days ago, and it was the last time I spoke to her. I don't intend to start something with X, since that was clearly a one-time thing. Q on the other hand... I like her. A lot. I haven't seen her since, so I sent her a text asking to meet up and talk, which she ignored.

Any advice on how I can make things right with Q? Or should I just accept that she doesn't see me as boyfriend-material?

    You are not even with her and she's already showing quite a bit of jealousy. You didn't do anything wrong. She shouldn't get mad at you for doing what you would to avoid interfering with her relationship. Sure it's normal for her to be jealous, but an understanding person would get over it. She may even have gone right back to her boyfriend. Are you sure you want to put any time into a relationship with a girl like that? She might end up being the one to drive you crazy.

      Yeah, I guess her insults were uncalled for. But the alcohol probably played a large part in her harsh words. This was the first time I saw her drunk.

      It's just... I still feel attracted to her. We definitely have a connection. I don't feel guilty for hooking up with X, but I do think it was at an extremely bad time. I still think I should give things with Q a shot. If only she'd trust me a little more.

    She sounds like she was jealous, so she did like you. I'm guessing under the influence of alcohol she couldn't have taken it very well lol I would send her one last message like "I'm sorry that happened, but I really like you. I never thought I would get to be with you because you already had a boyfriend. If I had known you guys weren't together anymore things would have been different I promise. I won't bother you anymore, but I want you to know that I still really like you. If you have any feelings at all for me, please message me back, I'd like to talk this out." Yeah? :)

    Give her a couple of weeks then contact her and ask her to meet you. When you meet tell her how you feel. If she still pushes you away, let it be, but let her know if she changes her mind to contact you.

    man this kind of shit is bound to happen. The moment you finally start moving on from the girl that has been on your mind forever with a random hookup (which really is the best way, right?) she starts being all attached and jealous. Many guys have taken this road before you, and even more will do the same after you. At least now you are sure that she obviously likes you and the chase is back on ;)
