How soon after first date should you let them know if not interested?

I have had a few dates with guys I met online, but none of them were successful. Unsuccessful in a sense that I didn't like any of gem in person.

So my question is, how long should I wait before letting them know we are not a match?

    As a guy, I'd appreciate it if you'd tell me ASAP, like at the end of the date. No bullshit, screwing around or silly excuses, "Thanks for the evening, dude, but I don't think we've anything in common. Good night." would do just fine for me.

    Tell them ASAP. It isn't fair to give them false hope, even if you don't intend to do this.

    I'd probably let them text first. It would usually be a "Did you have fun" type text. And when they open that gate I'd sort of ease it in that I'm not interested in a future date.
