How should i budget my stimulus check
So for me living in the States, I'm getting 600 dollars as part of a stimulus bill that was recently fully enacted into law
There are a few different things this money could help provide me
A cat, providing mental and emotional support, would cost 400 in total plus any food, litter box, toys
My car could probably get new tires and brake pads and some other stuff maybe for 600 dollars
I need furniture and other house stuff I could probably get poking through Good Will and Craigslist and local buy/sell apps with the 600 dollars
I really want a cat, but a fear is growing inside me to get new tires and stuff for my car
I think I can hold off on furniture and stuff a little longer. It's mind numbingly annoying, but I can handle it
I can probably afford the car stuff in a couple weeks, at least some of it
Or maybe I could pay all my bills and splurge on a cat and get my car stuff done
But I could get a cat now and benefit from its existence sooner
Or I could get the car stuff done first and have something less to stress
I guess I'm just conflicted between choosing what will make me happy and what I feel is safer. My car might be fine, I had to get two wheels patched and it feels a little unstable. I could be putting my desires ahead of my needs by getting a cat first. But maybe it'll probably be all okay to fix my car up in two weeks
What do y'all think? I'll have the money for everything no matter the order
