How 'popular' were you when you were at school? (on a scale of 0-10)

On a scale of zero to ten, how popular would you say you were when you were at school, or whilst you are still at school?
Zero being "Everyone hates/hated me and i literally have/had no friends whatsoever" and ten being "I have/had loads of friends at school, i am/was like a celebrity".

I'd probably say i'm a 4.. ha...haha...ha *cries*

Zero 6
One 5
Two 9
Three 11
Four 7
Five 4
Six 8
Seven 6
Eight 7
Nine 5
Ten 5

In the first month of school when I was 5 years old I had 2 girlfriends fighting over me. So at 5 years old I was the alpha male of the class. That would have put me at about a 9 on the popularity scale.

Things quickly went downhill from there.

The rest of my school life was pretty low scoring in popularity. Anywhere from a 1 to 5 at most.

Maybe it rose briefly to 7 when I surprised the big school bully (who had been relentlessly picking on me for weeks) by stabbing a sharp compass through his hand and then beating the fucking shit out of him like a crazed and wild animal afterwards. He never bothered me again.

I would say I was probably an 8. Everybody knew me and I could click in wherever I wanted.. but I didn't. I preferred to do my own thing and somehow people wanted to do that with me =/

I'd say an 8 or 9. Let the down thumbs begin! Ha. I think my high school may have been a little different though. The popular people were the ones who had their shit together. I think usually it's the losers who are popular in H.S.....maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I threw a lot of parties on the weekends and was pretty friendly with all the cliques. I played a few sports and was liked by the jocks. I smoked weed so I was cool with the dopers. I had a 4wd pick-up, offloaded, and fished a lot so I was liked by the rednecks. I made straight A's and could hold my own intellectually so the nerds respected me. I was the only guy in school that rode a motorcycle which made me stand out a little. In my senior year I was a homecoming king nominee, but didn't win. Anyway, It wasn't a bad experience. I gotta say though, popularity in high school isn't shit, I mean it doesn't indicate much about the type of person you are. I remember many really cool personalities that just weren't well known. it's an awkward time in most people's lives that has little reflection on your character after graduation.

Elementary: 10 Middle School: 4 High School: 7

In HS, people knew me, I'd get invited to parties, blah blah blah but I was and still am a distant person. I always preferred to stay private and never trusted people. Basically, I told people to fuck off and was known as a bitch or mean person but I didn't care cause I didn't want to be associated with low-lives who lived in their own world.

    BUT WHO CARES?

How old are you? It really doesn't matter what you were in high school cause high school is a made up society that brainwashes people into thinking we have to conform to a certain role to fit in. Thats where it all begins. So if you didn't fall into that trap, you're probably living a good life where you know what matters and doesn't matter. In other words, you're smart.

I remember heading to college and these group of douhebags who were the "popular" ones in HS were sitting there in campus thinking that college was going to be the same where people look up to them. Hahaha it cracked me up how they looked sad and wondered "why aren't people approaching us?" So sad. Shoot yourselves.

In elementary school and middle school, I was probably a 5 in popularity. Then my folks moved to another town over the summer before high school. I happened to make friends with someone who turned out to be really popular. Next thing I knew, I was in the "most popular" group, probably a 9 or 10 on the scale. It was a real adjustment for me.

From half of 1st grade to 12th grade, I was homeschooled. That other half of 1st grade, I wasn't popular. I don't really remember 1st grade having a popular hierarchy. We had cliques. I was on the fringe of one of them but, I ended up distancing myself from the rest because, I felt like a third wheel. My neurological upsets probably ended up putting me into the Twilight Zone.

  • I was pretty popular when I was the new kid in my last high school. After that I ended up being average or so and then half way through I was pretty popular. I wasn't part of the "cool people club" who would parkl their cars somewhere and try to act all cool and stuff but I knew most people and they knew me and I would usually go to one group, socialize with them, go to another group, socialize with them, and then another group and socialize with them. Then later on the "cool club" tried to get me to hang around with them but it would require me to leave my best friend, so naturally I told em to stick it. Lol.

So I was popular in the sense many people knew me but not popular in the sense that I was part of the "cool club".

  • Like, omg, EVERYONE knew me! I was so pretty and popular, I got asked out ALOT and I even went to the Prom and became Prom King! Ohmygod, I have to say, like, maybe, ELEVEN!?!?lol

I was famous (or infamous) for masturbating publicly in middle-school. That legacy followed me through high-school, where I became known as "Skeeter." I was still liked by some, though (mainly the kids that didn't go to my middle-school) because of my artistic talents and my sense of humor. I had a stalker, at least, so I guess I wasn't completely invisible (not that I enjoyed the stalker's attention).

In middle-high school everyone knew me (as the creepy, hot goth chic) but few people talked to me, aside from asking me weird questions like "are you shy?", " why are you gothic" and, my personal favorite, "do you worship Satan?" . Some of them confused me with the other hot goth chic. Some tried to convert me to blonde hair. The preppy group took some sort of liking to me so they were always very nice. I made pretty good friends with a couple of them but I preferred the company of the underdogs. The younger goths occasionally told me how cool I was. I guess you could say I was a different kind of popular.

I was a 1 in elementary though and people were mean to me.

Too shy to be popular. All my friends were popular but I was just known as the quiet kid who dosent pay attention in class, always has a headphone snuck in one ear lol, and sat back and drew graffiti. I also breakdanced with a crew for the talent show so people knew me for that too. My only regret is being invisible in the female community_~.

I purposely choose to be a loner. I am pretty good looking, based on the number of guys I've turned down. But I don't appreciate the oppressive nature of our culture, and the stereotype of being cool so I refuse to be cool. Plus I'm really fucking sarcastic!

  • I did not become popular until I was an adult in the music industry. In school I was probably a 1 but now Im about an 8.

Zero. I had no identity. I wasn't well liked or disliked. In high school, I was just known as this kid that never talked. I'm low conflict, keep to yourself kind of person. If you don't fuck with me, I won't fuck with you. Obviously, I wasn't very popular at all and I honestly didn't care about the popularity contest.

For some reason, my peers respected me. I wasn't really bullied because I stood up for myself when I felt the need to. I had some altercations and minor fights, which let people know I wasn't gonna be pushed around. I had a couple friends, but I was content being alone pretty much all the time.

    Probably 9

But being popular does not always mean loved by everyone. I was well known and stood out. There was a good amount that absolutely hated me or were annoyed by my presence. I feel I still give out such vibes, which is a blessing if it's true because I despise public adulation. I also didn't have many friends... maybe 10. 15 max, but they never felt like real friends. I was always way closer with my neighbourhood/online friends.

  • I talked to a lot of people, I knew a lot of people. But I never really hung up out with them or connected to them, with the exception of maybe 5. Post high school no one seems to remember me. On a scale of to ten, I'd give it a 4.

In elementary school I was a zero. The entire class didn't like me. Every year it was usually for a dumb reason like my dry, poofy hair that stuck up, the TV shows I liked, or my unnatural fear of restrooms.
When middle school came around, I was a two. There were still people that disliked me over dumb things, but I actually had friends back then that would help me out.
In high school I was a five. I was quiet and kept to myself. No one made fun of me and I had friends that I'd read manga with and goof around with in the library.

I don't think even 20 kids knew I existed. I was so rarely there. I'd come in and do anywhere from 3 weeks to a couple of months, then it was off on another adventure again. Very little in common with my peers.
So no one liked or disliked me.
