It all depends on perspective. What I may consider hot or cute may be ugly and gross to you. So in the end it all depends on peoples taste.

I agree "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but lets be real ladies and gentleman. Socially we tend to be more drawn/attracted to certain physical features. So we know what would be considered pretty/attractive and what would be considered ugly or unattractive. If you're ugly/unattractive you know it. If you're handsome/pretty, you know if you are. So lets not sugar coat it with "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" talk, its true, but I dont think it applies to this poll.
P.S. with that being said, I'm pretty hot. No way to say it without sounding "full of myself", but its true. Everywhere I go I get attention from men, even if I'm just wearing sweats and my hair is a mess. I've got what guys call "natural beauty" I guess I dont know...
I'm really jealous. Because I'm not beauty queen men treat like dirt well basically they treat me like I don't exist. I've even been verbally insulted by guys in the past because of the way I look and it still hurts to this day.
For example there was the time my mother and I were in a busy shopping mall and we walked past these three guys and they looked at me as I past them and I heard one say "Yuck look at her".
I also remember the hurtful time when I went to the local fair with my sister and two of her friends so that made four in the group. At the fair we went by the game stalls and as we past one game the guy who ran it looked at us and said "Hello you three good looking girls", there was four of us and he said THREE good looking girls so it was clear he didn't class me as one of the good looking three. It made me want to burst into tears on the spot.
Having guys treat you like that is like a stab in the heart and it's kills my self-esteem.
I get so depressed that no guy will ever find me attractive enough to want to get to know me and I'll be single forever. I have a very nice warm caring personality but no man sees that side because they would have get past my physical appearance to know the person I am inside and it's my physical appearance that puts them off.
I hardly go out the house anymore because I'm sick of the way I get treated by people/men. Why can't I just accept that I'll probably be single and unloved forever?
I can tell you straight out that I would find you attractive for your personality no matter how you look. I'm not trying to flirt with you or anything, but there are guys like me near you, who doesn't care about the outer layer of skin. When they have lived with someone for 10 years, they stop caring about the looks, cause it will be the longest 10 years in your life, if you are together with some bitch.
I'm really sorry to hear that, you sound like a really great girl. One day you'll meet a guy that sees what a catch you are, girls like you are "hidden gems" because many look past you and don't get to know what a great person you actually are.
I firmly believe beauty is subjective. One person may look at me and not see anything worthwhile or even be turned off while the next might want to jump on me. It's all a matter of what the person looking at you considers attractive.
7 out of 10 once I get my self ready for work. 5 out of ten in the morning (gotta hate them bed heads >.<) and one special occasions(weddings, birthday parties, etc) I'm a 9.

I feel I look mediocre. I feel I look fine from the neck up. But I hate my body. And I was very ugly from when I was like 7-15. So depending on the day sometimes I think I'm really goodlooking, and others I think I look like a piece shit and others I think I look mediocre. It's the worst when I'm with other people, or if I'm in front a of a long mirror, well I just don't really go infront of a long mirror.
i would be the 2nd choice if i would lose this god damned weight :(, i do agree though that if you're a woman i would date your whether you were not attractive or gorgeous just as long as you have brains and a good personality :) (yes even if i was "hot")
I have seen many 'hot sexy' ladies go to seed and become unrecognisable or so miserable as they age that the 'agony' oozes out all around them as they try to retain a lost youth. Very unattractive. They have not learned how to have relationships with themselves or the people around them because they never had to.
I have seen plain girls with warm smiles and nice personalities, and they tend to rise above that 'plastic beauty' that fades so soon.
I have also seen disfigured girls who have overcome vanites and learned to make the best of a bad job ...and succeeded.
WOuld you love your own child if it was physically scarred in an accident? or would you make fuun of it and ignore it?? Would you love your mother if she was not beautiful ?
The important things in life are deeper than physical beauty ...and a warm smile from the heart can make anyone feel and look beautiful.
Put away your mirrors and look into your hearts and see if they are beautiful !!
I'm not going to lie. I wouldn't be what you call hot. Although I guess I look OK, most of the time, but it really depends on when where I am, and what I am wearing etc. I mean, I have glasses, that much is seen as a turn off to some people, but I don't understand why that is sometimes viewed as un-attractive. I also hate that common stereotype "If you have glasses, you are a nerd". It really irritates me.
i personally think im average but i have been told im "beautiful" and "pretty" but it all depends on personal preferance. im not lying. a ugly guy might think im average and a super hot guy might think im hot. its weird. it honestly is. i dont even know how attractive i really am.

I've been told by quite a few guys that I am attractive, however the guys that seem to like me and approach me I usually don't find attractive, this leads me to believe that I might not be as good looking as I sometimes like to think.

I feel strange when people tell me I'm pretty or cute because I don't really believe them, But I do get hit on an awful lot, and I can see it when I look in the mirror so I know for a fact i'm not ugly. when I hit puberty my looks changed completely so I still have that 'your an ugly girl' mind set from time to time. But I'm getting better (I have mirrors all over my room lol) So I can except a complement with out looking at someone like they're stupid lol

I'm very lean and have good muscular legs, and decent size arms. I don't have a washboard stomach, meaning I don't have very apparent abs.However with my charming good looks I'm worth a second look.
I'm not ugly but society deems me a freak because of my lifestyle and the way I chose to dress. My twin sis feels the same as I do.
