How old were you when you started your first job?

18. I got it last October, and turned 19 in January. I work at a movie theater.

My Teenage Jobs...

At 13-14yrs: I did yard and lawn maintenance for a health clinic and the police station during the warm weather months.

At 15yrs: I got a evening/weekend job as a cashier in a grocery store. I also took on five young students, giving them weekly piano lessons after school.

At 17yrs: while still keeping my cashier job, I also worked as a server in a Chinese food restaurant.

At 18yrs: I got a new job as an administrative assistant (mostly bookkeeping) for a small company.

I was a very busy teenager.

21 never had a job :( I have had volunteer jobs though to try and make up for my lack of serial-unemployment. Screw you Social Anxiety & shitty economy!

In 1984 I had a summer job at Baskin Robbins, I was 14.

I was 18. I completely bombed the interview, but they still hired me.

14. My mom and her friend went to a job interview and I went along. Neither wanted the job so it was offered to me - apparently I was qualified (and they were desperate). I bought candy and chocolate with my first paycheck.

14 as a caddy at a golf course. My strict father set an earnings goal for me and said to make the money or he would kick my ass.
