How often do you stand up for yourself?

I'm the kind of person who will his/her mind when I feel challenged and/or treated unfairly. I do it all the time, and as surprising as this sounds, it rarely backfires.

I even stand up to my own employer. There we're many times where I was unsure of speaking out against my boss because a thing like that can jeopardize your employment, but he called me in the other day and offered me a promotion. He said, " I like this attitude of yours. You will set people straight and set things right when it is nescessary ".

    Depends on who I'm with and the situation. But generally I only stand up for myself if I feel that I need to stand up for myself or the people need to learn a lesson.

    I stand up for myself a lot. I don't like getting taken advantage of.. like the rest of my family.

    Always, not only for my self but also for other people. I can't stand vunerable people being picked on or mocked, I simply wont stand for it.(as I feel some people see these as easy targets) When I was young though I was really sensitve and I'd cry at the least little thing that was said to me. The way I see things now is "I don't give crap out so I wont accept it back". and I think being a parent and age toughens you. xx

    I rarely stand up for myself in real life, because it isn't worth the bother. I'd rather take whatever people throw at me and not let it hurt me. Online is different, sometimes I'm too quick to stand up for myself.
