How normal is drinking alone?

I drink alone on occasion, the weekends and usually a day during the week. Is this normal? I find something good to watch on television and I just relax.

I guess it could be considered problematic but I'm not really a social person anyway and the television gives me more than enough entertainment and requires no effort to enjoy. It's just really draining to socialize. I don't care about what is going on in someone else's life, even if they are a decent person and don't dominate the conversation with only topics that revolve around themselves, it can still be an effort.

Yeah its normal. I often enjoy to either cook and drink a beer or two or watch TV and drink a beer or two by myself. It's kinda like my "me time". Nothing wrong with it, it's how I relax.

I only drink when I'm alone. I hate not being sober because it makes me feel like I don't have control over the situation and people around me who aren't wasted will perceive me as weak and vulnerable. I'm too alpha for that shit, Damn it!

I pretty much only drink alone. Don't really care for going out or having a lot of friends for that matter.

Understandable because alcohol is a depressant, and makes you less willing to be around people. It's why alcoholics wind up alone or in miserable families.

It's normal. I like to drink while socializing, but not get drunk. The only time I get drunk is when I'm alone, because like the user Crusades said, I don't want to seem vulnerable. Like last week I had a bit of a stressful Birthday, so when I got home I thought I'd relax by drinking. I ended up getting completely wasted and I puked multiple times. Massive hangover next day.
