I'll never forget, about two months before it came out, i was watching MTV at 2:00AM and they came on with this "news brief" saying footage had been found of some missing college students ... From that point I believed all of it was real.
I put, I shit my pants, I was pretty little when I fist watched it. it is now my favorite horror movie of all time. Epic.
29 People "shit their pants" over a "scary figure" that was just talked about but never even made an appearence, wow you guys should watch the original exorcist sometimes, Reagan spidercrawling down the stairs would terrify you beyond belief if the big bad Blair witch scurred ya silly...pfft.
I loved it. The way it was filmed and the naturalistic style of the whole thing was compelling.
In my opinion, horror films shouldn't only be judged by how scary they are. The Blair Witch Project was the precursor to the Paranormal Activity franchise, REC, even Cloverfield, and did something that hadn't been done for a long time (since Cannibal Holocaust perhaps).
On topic though, it made me feel generally unnerved throughout. It was more disturbing than scary. I did not shit myself.
The ending is brilliant...
This movie pissed me off!
Why?
What I cannot understand is why in the HELL no one on the production staff could have supplied those people with a damn tripod! I get motion sickness rather easily and the way the camera shook for all of the movie was enough to make me dizzy and give me vertigo. It got to a point that I was becoming nauseous from it. My friend said it is "avant garde" and "raw" I just thought it sucked.
I think it was only scary if you believed it was real at the time of watching
-.- I'd seen far too many horror movies at this point. It was predictable.
I remember watching it when I was 13, clinging onto the girl I fancied at the time and giving the birthday girl [whose house we were round a black eye because I elbowed her when I jumped XD.
I can't remember if I actually found it as scary as I was making it out to be, though.
Come to think of it, I never got to see the attraction of it .. oh well.
I have never ever EVER heard of this so I just put it 'it was kind of scary.'
I thought it was cool. It wasn't that scary, but the ending was pretty rad. I'd rather watch something else though.
Pft! What a bunch of malarchy! Not scary whatsoever. Nor are the new paranormal activity movies. I have to see the newest one though, since I've seen the first two
At the time I thought it was, but then I watched 4th Kind and that one really scared me...I'm kind of a chicken with horror unless it's blood and guts.
Not in the slightest. I got up in the cinema when it had finished and said to my friend: "I thought it was supposed to be scary". Everyone else seemed to be saying the same thing. The bit in El Orfanato with the truck made me jump, though.
