How much bad luck is it normal to have in a day?

So to make a long story short, I am a loser. I almost got hit by a car crossing the street today, my ex- boyfriend had a kid with someone esle today, and I failed my test today and on top of that I am too lazy to get started on my term paper. And I wouldn't call being lazy bad luck just another excuse.

Any suggestions? And whats the most bad luck you've had in one day?

Iv`e almost been hit by cars loads of times because people are, in my opinion too stupid to be trusted behind the wheel, either that, or someone`s put a contract out on me!

Your lucky not to have been hit by the car and you can have another bf.

Get out of that mentality and you'll be fine, trust me. Learn from the bad shit, you almost get hit by a car, so you should be more careful on the road. If you fail a test, learn from it, put in the effort and do better next time, because you can, fuck what your experience is telling you because you never know what you're capable of. Your ex has a kid, hes moved on, and maybe you should too so you can get on with your life.

It's never bad luck, it's just the way you look at it. Even if shit happens, there is always a reason for it, and there always something you can learn from it.

Sometimes I feel that I have a bad luck too, but I have the nerves to get over it!

    • Really? You also have the nerve to post a comment that is mean and not helpful. I know i should get over it but the process is more complicated and longer for other people. Here's a question, do you have the nerve to get over yourself?

But could it get any worse.

    Actually don't answer that.

As they say Misfortunes come in threes.

  • When it rains, it pours.

And by extension it's too late to build a storm shelter when the storm is upon you.

I managed to split up with my girlfriend, lose the place I lived, and was shunned by my family on pretty much the same day. There was certainly a day when all three of those things were happening.

My girlfriend was mean, my family were meaner, and my place... okay, my place was pretty nice. But my new place is prettier and nicer, my new girlfriend is non-existent and so are my family. I get a pretty nice place all to myself. :D

  • I can't think of one offhand but it usually starts with something small like finally getting my stuff together then finding out it's a holiday/Sunday and everywhere is closed. Then I have to print something out and oh! Printer runs out of ink halfway through. Walk to the store, get ink and then get in the line that has the lady who complains about a price being wrong, like a 50 cents difference, and get stuck behind her. To home, put new ink cartridge into printer, and printer won't work.

    *based on a true story

*only the running out of ink and today a holiday happened

I almost get hit by cars on a regular basis. And one time I did get hit. People are terrible drivers and pay no attention to pedestrians and/or cyclists. And I'm pretty sure your ex didn't impregnate, gestate, and give birth to a child all in one day. I wouldn't call that bad luck, just a bad day. Don't focus on it too much, it really could be much worse.

I can't remember the worst luck I've had in one single day. I did have a terrible month where someone stole a bunch of money from me, my sewer exploded all over the back yard and I was without plumbing for three days, my cat died, and my husband had to leave town right before that all happened. I can laugh at it now but at the time, all I could do was move through each day as it came.

    • Thanks for sharing bad luck moments with me.It made me feel a little better.
Also, I think it was my fault, I didn't see him coming. On the bright side, at least he stopped for me (and he was a cute guy).
