How many people really believe in soulmates?

I personally there is someone out there that is just the one for you, or completes you. At the same time, I don't because the way soul mates are described in stories like they are "made" for each other, makes it seem like you have no choice in the matter. So, I would personally like to see how many people believe in soul mates.

    I do but more than just one. I think the world tends to bring people together who 'need' each other and/or who are 'soulmates' (friends, etc., what have you). It's just a natural process. ;)

    I believe that your mind can trick you and make anyone your "soulmate," but they're usually not your true soulmate.

    Because I swear to God I found mine.
    We're just meant to be together.

    I believe we have several soul mates. Let's call them soul clusters. I've met a few from my cluster and I can't imagine a world without them. I'd hate to deny myself a rich and meaningful relationship with someone just because of an idea that I'm only allowed to have one.

          I really do. I love the insight that people have given me and shown me about what they truly believe is a "soul mate" is it simply a person that had been marked as yours, or is it multiple people that you happen to just be connected to. Is it different every time we are reborn or do they remain the same? If one is truly destined for us, did we never have a choice to begin with? I really love these types of question and the results I am receiving is really quite wonderful.

    I don't believe in there can only be ONE person who you will fall in love with and are capable of loving. I believe that there are plenty of people in this world that if you take the time to know and form a relationship with, will love you for who you are and form a meaningful bond with.

    I believe we are just atoms that gravitate toward other atoms due to (+) and (-) attraction to form molecules. Soul mates are neutrons and protons and electrons are our closest friends and family.

    I believe there are people out there who have a personality that suits yours and will make you both feel complete. Some are better as best friends, others as lovers. This is what I consider a soul mate. I do not believe in "the one". I have a best friend who fits my personality, that is all I need for now.

    I think there are 'soul mates' in so much as there are people who are virtually perfect for one another, they compliment each other like cheese on toast.

    I don't think that there is one 'soul mate' for everyone, who you are destined to be with.

    I believe in soul mates in a way. Not in the way they're described in stories, like you have no choice, but I also don't think you have several of them, like most of the people here seem to. More like you have several people you would be good with, but there's only one who's truly the right one. I'm still waiting for mine.

    I believe in soulmates but as some have already said, I don't believe you have just one soulmate. I believe that the people who come into your life who are the most important or give you the best avenues for growth could be considered soulmates. I feel it would almost be reductionist to think there is only one person out there for me in this big world we live in.

    I agree with what a lot of people already said above. I believe in soulmates. I believe everyone has a few. There are far too many people in this world for everyone to only have one soulmate. I feel that no one will be able to meet all of their designated soulmates in a given lifetime. I've been blessed enough to meet one of mine.

    I don't know why exactly but I hate the term soul mate, but think there are several people that are just right for me. Not to marry or anything insane like that though. Hard to imagine my crazy is desirable. Right?? Guys? Girls?? Right??!?!?! You know ya want me teehee. Let me dream, ok?!

    I believe in soul mates, but that we all have more than one soul mate. And that sometimes we go through our entire lives without even meeting/ending up with, any of our soul mates.

    It is silly to believe that there is only one for you but it is true that one can become the only one for you. I know IIN people are generally young - but in addition to being compatible and complimentary to one another initially, you grow together as you experience life over time with one another. So I believe in them (soul mates) but don't know that that happens right away. For young people starting out in relationships, it is more likely to be gushy and untested companionship. But that's part of growing up.

    I don't know..I believe in people that click, people that don't click, but soulmates? I think soulmates could be friends as opposed to romantic relationships.
