How many people need to contradict themselves on here?

Recently I have been have disputes on is it normal over how many peopl can be so abnoxious to comment on peoples posts and basically take the mick about their difficult situations! I try to help the people that post the thing in the first place, but as time goes on they seem to take the side of the peson who has taken the piss and say I'm in the wrong! I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion I just think sometimes people need to keep their opinions to themselves! Half of them can take it but not dish it and I hate it when they throw it back in my face or try to turn it around on me when I'm clearly helping them! Not only have they contradicted themselves but the people who comment on what I've said about their comments contradict themselves also!
Does anyone else have the same problem or is it just me?
I don't have an issue with anyone that posts a genuine issue on is it normal for answers just the peoples being absolute idiots about it, I can handle them myself but when I seem to try and help other like I have and they throw it back uin my face I wonder why I bother!
If you have any criticisms of me fair enough comment but if you want to try and help you are more than welcome! I don't hide behind anything or anyone, and I especially won't annonymously comment on my own posts, I'm proud of what I do and who I am! I just can't seem to understand why people behave the way they do towards me when I try to help them, is it me or is it them?

    Have you ever wondered if people have thought this about your opinions? And maybe they are right? It's just a thought.

    Like others have pointed out, it's nice that you're trying to genuinely help other people. Oh, and it's nice to see you committing yourself to not deleting comments you disagree with.

    Still, you may want to tone down the negativity in your comments and take what others write a little less seriously. So, try not to jump to conclusions and assume the worst: like if people don't agree with you, that doesn't mean they are supporters of pedophilia, rape, violence, etc.

    You remind me a lot of another user called RomeoDeMontegue, they have the same problem.

      Yeah, I see what you mean, I've just been contradicting myself a bit! I suppose I should sit back and let them say what they think, but to let them do that when I know, I'd just need to say something. I've had a few people that I have had very heated discussions with on here but I do respect their opinions and what they say back to me! Thanks this helped a lot!

    I wouldn't let it bother you too much. There's plenty of real things to worry about without adding pointless internet drama to the mix.
    That's weird that the people you're agreeing with/ trying to help have been jumping down your throught, though. Could it be the way you word something that makes them think you're attacking them? If not, well, people usually just want to hear someone agree with them. If you give advice that doesn't match with what they wanted to hear, the'll probably lash out. Even if the advice is good. Sometimes ESPECIALLY if the advice is good.
    So don't worry about it, people can be weirdly sensitive abot certain things.

    Or maybe you just give shitty advice, I don't know.

    It's really easy on here to just give a kneejerk sarcastic response or take the piss. So good on you for genuinely trying to help people.

    But also, try and understand that the people being obnoxious probably aren't taking the post seriously, so you should try not to take their comments seriously either. Don't worry about it!

    Nobody needs to keep opinions to themselves, because like you said, everyone is entitled to an opinion. People should just keep offensive or trollish comments to themselves. I don't like all opinions, but if it's not meant to be offensive I simply ignore it. I have openly expressed my dislike for a certain person on this site as well as my social networking. I'm not trying to put down anyone who is a fan, and my opinion may not be 100% right since I've never met or spoke to this person, I just make observations based on what I've seen and heard. Most opinions are based on observations.

      As are most of every body elses opinions, why should they be heard if all the cause is hatred and fighting etc, opinions are opinions, they are not, nor never will be fact! You dislike one person so much, who is it? I'd be obliged to see why you dislike them so much? I say what I say because I know that others believe what I say is correct, I don't say it to be harmful or to cause arguments like people on some of the polls on IIN. I agree with everything you have said apart from your statement that opinions should not be kept to themselves. Selfish and obnoxious opinions and opinions that hurt others feeling need to be kept to themselves and themselves only. Opinions ruin the world, they start wars and ruin lives. Why would anyone like to be responsible for that? Peoples opinions have made others commit suicide because 'your too fat' or 'your a freak' even petty insults like these can cause people to resort to drastic measures to be rid of them! Those insults are that individuals opinions. How can anyone say that is right? I understand your reasoning and this is not me having a go at you but trying to express my feelings upon why I have said what I said, maybe you can see it from my perspective?

        Insults are not opinions, they're insults and yes they do hurt. Opinions are likes/dislikes, religious and political beliefs, beliefs about things in general and shit like that and yes everyone CAN express those, just not disrespect other people for their opinions. People who overreact to opinions that are NOT rude or insulting are the ones with problems.

        The person I dislike is a celebrity. I won't say who because it might give away my identity. She throws fits and punches people. She's in her 20s and she's not a mature adult. She gets away with everything, no one else does. She seems like a crybaby but I could be wrong. I talk about my problems but to vent and shit, not for sympathy. Maybe she does the same and it was wrong of me to assume otherwise. First impressions aren't always right...wish my mother realised that.

        If you ask who it is and I tell you, please don't defend her. I'm trying to forget she exists. Well unless she gets her greasy paws on my fav bloke lol but I doubt. But anyway do you understand? Being rude is NOT the same as expressing an opinion.

          People can be rude whilst expressing their opinions, opinions can be rude and sometimes people don't mean to be rude but do so through expression of an opinion, I'm not persisting if you'd rather not say, just wondering to who it would be, I'm in agreement with you please don't take it as me trying to argue a case with you!
