I am an adult and have only spent a night in hospital at such a young age, I'd never remember it. Is this a normal experience to not know what it's like to spend a night in a hospital?

Well doc once offered me a night tied to a bed in the mental ward while advertising it as though it was a trip to Disney land. Thank god my parents decided never to take me though and started to become creeped out by how casually he seemed to push these type of things.
These are weird choices, why don't you use numbers? I dont know what the difference between "many" and "quite a lot" is supposed to be...3 weeks straight for me. I dont know whether that falls under "many" or "quite a lot"
Perfectly normal not to remember if you were young...I doubt you can remember your birth? :)
I had a Slip Disc last February...by time Dr decided to operate I already had permanent nerve damage but that's the NHS in the UK for you, can be really slow to treat sometimes.
But I was lucky enough to be referred to a private hospital whilst being treated on the NHS. They were fantastic, I didn't want to leave didn't feel like a hospital at all. Food was lovely, staff nice and helpful. If you ever need a non emergency op and live in the UK ask your GP for referral on the NHS to a private hospital!
Never stayed at a hospital. I only ever went there because my parents were panicking over nothing and it was after opening hours for independent GPs.
I hate hospitals!!! Altogether, I've spent a couple months, maybe more, yeah, i can't even remember now. I broke my arm as a child and did ALOT of damage, I've had surgery at least five times, it sucks.
I spent half of a day in a english hospital, but it was never overnight. Here in america, I think the only time I've ever spent time in a hospital was when I was born.
I've never even been in the emergency room. All of the nights that I've spent in the hospital were for a dying relative, but never for anything wrong with my body.
For myself? Not many. Maybe one or two as a kid. I mean, I obviously spent some time there as a new born baby, but I've never had any serious health problems since. Not that I'm aware of or that I can remember.:S Who knows though, maybe I've suffered severe memory loss, which resulted in me spending a lot of time in hospital, but I can't remember it?:P Or did you mean to see other people?
