Bull$hit, probably.

I myself don't get, at least, a one hug a day, I mean since I don't have a partner or a lover. I often get it from my family in some occasions. But I don't mind it at all, I like hugs, they make me blush, if I got a real one.

So, how many hugs you get?

      By the way - Cuddle Party was absolutely a serious suggestion, if you don't mind hugging strangers. So long as you're over 18 and live near one, go for it.

      Sometimes I think everyone on IIN should meet up for a cuddle party :D

    I don't have a partner or lover. But there's this girl I know from school who's really nice and she always gives me a hug. So when I'm in school I get one hug.

    I have a very huggy little boy. He often says mommy I'm going to give you fifty three or insert various number here hugs then he proceeds to start hugging and counting. So depending on the day I might get three hundred or five.

    Haha, oh God, who said that? I don't know whether to vomit or laugh. 4 hugs a day for survival? Hahaha, that is so cringe worthy. It's a strangely cute quote even though if someone said that to me I'd probably scoff. How confusing:S.

    I do love hugs, though. I don't count how many I get daily. Usually 0-1. It really depends who I spend my day with. There's someone who if I spend my day with them then I'd be likely to get 5 of them. Also, when you see a group of people you haven't seen in a little while, the number jumps much higher. It's not a daily routine for me, though.

    We need 12 hugs a day for growth! What a load of bollocks.

    Last year, I don't think I got into double figures for the whole year. Three years ago, I probably had about 2000 (so six per day). I need to meet more huggy people and perhaps even date them.

        And I'd quite like you to. Even better if we can set up some kind of ongoing agreement and I get a certain number per diem, and then a few extra too. You would be repaid with random extra ones too, when you're not expecting them.

            On second thoughts, hugging is much too serious to let the lawyers get involved! Maybe we should just get a hug when either of us uses a word which begins with the same letter as our first name? So, in this post, you owe me four and I owe you... aww... you need to pick a more popular name. :P

    aww that;s soo sad! The majority of people get none a day. Well I think you should have also put other cause it depends on who you are with/around during that day. For example I USED to have a very close friend that was my bestie and we hugged a lot when we saw each other. Even cuddled! :)

    My husband and I are really touchy-feely, so I get a lot of hugs in a day. Even we don't hug a dozen times a day, though; that's just kind of clingy and gross. I don't think you can prescribe the number of hugs anyone should get in a day.

    Now I want him to get home from work so I can hug him. :)

    I can't quantify the number. I hug my husband several times a day and my roommates sometimes randomly hug me just because they felt the need to share a hug. Hugs are great but some are more satisfying than others. A nice long hug with someone you care about is far more rewarding that a 1 second formal greeting hug.

    I heard somewhere that it takes seven seconds for a hug to release the feel good endorphins. I don't know how accurate that is but it sounds enjoyable. :)

    I would hug my lover countless times a day, if possible. Hugs are amazing things to share with the ones you love. I hug my best friend whenever we say goodbye, which is close to every day.

    The last time I hugged someone in my family upon free will, both of my parents thought something wrong. I was merely giving my dad a birthday hug for the first time ever. I think he was shocked but happy at the stunt. I know I felt good.

    Frequent hugging means you have friends; it's something people just instinctively do. If it's appropriate, I have to hug people an hour or two after I meet them, either to make them comfortable or to express appreciation for a good conversation or some shit.

      But most of those are from relatives who don't understand that I only hug them because refusing to hug them because I don't really know them would create family tension.
