I love how this Question compaires a love to a crush.
Crushes should come and go.
Love? Once you're in it (atleast for me) there is no escape, my friend.
Sometimes you never really get over a love...it just gets less painful. I still love my first love...would I go back if I had the chance? Noway...my husband is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
i don't think that you ever get over someone you truely loved... if you love someone they in your heart forever it's just you view them from a different point because they don't have to key to your heart anymore
there is a general formula abou it: (time of the relationship)/2= time you need to get over it
But it doesnt apply to all situations, just to most.
Depends not only on the people involved, but how bad the relationship was before it finally ended and how long the relationship was in the first place.
Don't make an effort to forget them, it'll happen when it needs to.
As for getting over them to the point you don't really feel like you need to talk to them anymore... Took me about 3 days.
Hope this helps.
I had a crush on my coworker! I always get crush with homosexuals, they just look so good! (i am a female)
Normally it would be INSTANTLY, except this one person named Mary, for her its been damn near 20 years.
on average about 7,347 years, 255 days and 4.5 hours. Give or take a few minutes.
There's a difference between "getting over" and "forgetting" someone. Getting over someone (for me at least) depends on the level of shame/insecurity you felt about it. If you're able to fully admit everything, you get over it much quicker. But still it might take anywhere between a couple weeks to years...it depends on you.
Forgetting someone altogether? I've never experienced that in my 18 years of life.
It does not have a set time. Some things you might never get over either.
It took me 3 years to get over one, while i had forgotten the other's name by the next day. Depends on the person, i guess.
Depends. My first real crush was when I was ten or eleven... it took my until I was thirteen to realize that the guy had grown up to be a real douche. But to this day, I still find myself subconsciously trying to impress him.
It depends on the person.
i still think about my first love well i thought it was love but it must have been just strong feellings because what i have with my bf is the best thing thats ever happened and i'll never get over it if we were to brake up... i hope we don't though.
Definately depends if that person was very special, I couldn't give an accurate time though.
You should never forget, and be super paranoid about them ever finding someone else and stalk the crap out of them. That's the healthy way.
I've been trying to forget my BFF who I'm in love with for over a 7 years! He is too great to risk our friendship over something only I want (well I don't think I'm the only one)!!!
it depends on how long you had feelings for them.
I've seen some who've never been single for longer than 2 weeks.
To me that's not healthy. You SHOULD have at least a month to just be by yourself. Not just "getting over" him or her but time to remember who YOU are.
But sometimes it doesn't take as long. I had one crush that I was over in a week or so because it wasn't a serious one. And I found out he was lying to me anyway.
Another one took me a while to get through.
I really hope it isn't that long; i'm in desperate need to forget someone.
It really depends on how long the relationship lasted for. I think it should take 1/3 of 1 year
My friend had a crush on me since 8th grade but I ignored it and few years later I had a crush on her lol, Nothing happened but were still really good friends. For girls I have loved it takes about a year or so for me to get over it or just get it out of my system haha
