I don't understand why this is such an issue.
There is nothing gross or nasty about breast feeding. And of course it's related to sex. That doesn't make it sexual. Are zits sexual? Hormones do all kinds of things to a body. Ask anyone familiar with pregnancy, rubbing nipples helps produce the hormones needed for the birthing process. Again, not sexual. But I hear orgasmic births are the way to go. That pleasure/pain line can be very hard to find.
Mothers who willingly (not forced due to health issues)give up this bonding opportunity and natural food supply are lazy and selfish. It is a great way to put a child to sleep at night. Far better than a pacifier.
Gums pinch just as hard as teeth, teach your child not to do it.
It's sad that our society isn't more accepting of this. It benefits only the corporate world in which women try to be as productive as a man during this time. Fuck the man who thinks this makes women weak and not an asset to society. When did being a mother become an inconvenience? When it effected the bottom line and profit margin. And we wonder why kids are fucked up? And I wonder why women play into this game? Demand respect. It isn't about equality, it's about giving children the best advantages in life. Believing that boobs are only meant for sexual pleasure isn't the right attitude. Especially when sex is decidedly something shameful.
So to answer the question: if you are capable to breast feed, slowly ween the child between 2 and 3 years.
Unfortunately our society is one in which most families need two incomes to function and this tends to separate mother and child earlier in life. Yeah, humans will prevail but we really need to question why it's okay to do this.
Some women are insane when it comes to breastfeeding. Me and a friend were just discussing this the other day. I only did it for 3 months, and she's about to ween the baby off at 7 months. I say once there are teeth involved, its time to stop. My mom had a friend who breastfed for years! That's so nasty!! The kid would even say ' better than soda pop'. How fuckin nasty!!! Wasn't there a kid who told a day care teacher that he wanted to stop and his mom kept doing it? What's wrong with people?!?
ROFL! Yeah, until the child can say "Mom, thanks I'm full now."
But seriously, I'd say 1.5 tops, depending on how much milk she can produce. It use to be healthy to feed until 2 years for the immunization factors but that was back before modern medicine
A mother and her baby should breastfeed for as long as they wish to breastfeed. The American Academy of Pediatrics currently (2005) recommends: "Pediatricians and parents should be aware that exclusive breastfeeding is sufficient to support optimal growth and development for approximately the first 6 months of life and provides continuing protection against diarrhea and respiratory tract infection. Breastfeeding should be continued for at least the first year of life and beyond for as long as mutually desired by mother and child." As solids are introduced, usually around the middle of the first year, your baby will shift his primary source of nutrition from your milk to other foods.
Of course they are being stimulated. But as long as it is "In the name of Motherhood" then its ok. And as long as she doesn't have an obvious orgasm....lol.
Breastfeeding is extremely beneficial to newborns, as the breast milk contains antibodies that are passed along to the infant. Studies show that it can help boost the child's immune system and reduce risk of infections. Breastfeeding is also a way that newborns and infants bond with their mother.
It is good, but to a certain extent. When I have children I will breastfeed until around month 4 or 5. Everyone I know with children stopped breastfeeding by month 7.
Ewww my Aunt breastfed her child until 4. I would not want a child to be able to remember being breastfed. It's messed up!
It should be till a year at most. ugh.
breastfeeding isnt gross its as natural as sex but i have heard women get turned by it because the nipples are being stimaulated.
I don't think breastfeeding is "disgusting" but it's not my preference. I find breastfeeding above 2 disgusting.
And I am sure there are women out there that get aroused through it because of the stimulation. Many talk about this "wonderful connection" they feel with the baby, and as natural as that might be, it is from stimulation and some sort of arousal.
And any one who will vote me or you down on that thought, shut up plz.
until he can real foods also i heard breast milk tastes good its been my fantasy to try some adult nursing relationship it would be a turn on for me dont vote me down vote me up anyone agree?
So if a child is like 6 or 7 is that sex abuse? Obviously a 6 year old doesn't need breast milk.
Or
Is anything a mother does off limits?
the rate of incest on here, I don't think the mother ever stops offering her titties
until the son or daughter feels sexual towards the mother to have sex with eachother
it's digusting, I realize that since humans breed it needs to be done. And actually, I don't care how long it's going on -as long as it's not in fucking public! seriously, is it so fucking hard to have a bottle of the artificial stuff, just for the mall or park occasions, so you won't have to drop your tit out and go "Discovery channel" right in front of everybody?
Just because you dislike it doesn't mean it's so disgusting mothers have to hide this to make you happy.
This is why most states now include legal rights for mothers to breastfeed in public.
"is it so fucking hard to have a bottle of the artificial stuff"
Apparently not as hard as it is to turn your head....
where i come from 2 years old is normal. (our babies age a bit slower than average, but we live longer anyway)
I stopped at 6 months and switched her to a bottle for another 4 months while incorperating baby food within those few months on the bottle, so her digestive system could become used to at least semi-solid food.
Most women continue to breast feed longer than necessary because they have to take in a minimum of 5,000 calories a day in order to produce milk. Some women are just vain and don't want to diet so they choose this instead.
As long as they want. No one else but the mother has the right to decide that. I personally think 6 months is enough and I'm sure I'd stop at 3 months but I can't set a standard for other people.
If you read magazines there was a woman who has big breasts and her son is 16 she still breastfeeds the average age is until she/he starts eating solid food or 1 and a half but its up to you the best time is when it starts getting uncomfotrable for you and you dont want to do it anymore as soon as you dont want to breastfeed anymore get a breast pump and put the milk from your breast into a bottle and he/she wont know the difference and then move him/she on to cstoned milk

How about this? Until the child and the mother are both done and it occurs naturally within reason. For many years be it a million or thousands, depending if you believe on evolution or God thats how women feed their babies. Parenting books and the WHO didn't exist so man kind was left to figure things out on their own and from advice from their mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts etc.
I do not agree with the majority votes! Breastfeeding is only temporary, but some people quit way sooner than specialist recommend.Since feeding from your body takes nutrients from you more than a year is a lot to deal with.
Your suppose to ween your child off of breast feeding when they turn nine months.
no its not sex abuse sex abuse is rape and such its whatever you want really as long as nobody knows but that is late to be doing this.
If u breast feed longer studies have shown to give the child a better immune system and make the child smarter. I was breast fed until 2 and I don't remember it. I also rarely get sick. Do not vaccinate
either that can cause autism
