Celibacy is a state of mind that goes against what is natural, therefore it will either never happen or take years of solace and seperation from that which you desire to condition yourself to ignore your feelings or distract yourself when you experience these feelings. The fact you are on here discussing being a celibate means you are going about it the wrong way, the purpose of celibacy is to devote yourself to a greater good: either being a religious scholar to pursue knowledge in its purest form or some other form of religious symbol. Either discuss it properly with real people, not internet based realities, or dedicate your life to something more worthwhile. Celibacy is a by-gone whose only purpose was to save the puritans from corruption at the hands of the she-devil known as women, or so they believed.

I'd say, a month is the maximum.

It depends on how long it took, to cook and eat the halibut!
