How long is too long for your partner to be away?

If you and your partner live together and it is impossible for you to take a vacation together at the same time for the next three years, so you MUST vacation separately and it will most likely be to another country,
what is the maximum amount of time apart you think is reasonable?

What are your reasons?

This is strictly about vacation time and not work-related trips.

I haven't lived with a partner before. 14

    My boyfriend had to go away for five weeks last summer. We both hated it. He might have to go away for two months this time..

    My sister and her boyfriend were separated for an entire year when he went to Iraq. They are now happily married for 5 years strong. It might be a bit different if it was a vacation though.

    I chose a week because that's a decent time for a vacation, and I don't like being away from my partner, but I have nothing to worry about. He could take 2 weeks if he likes, but I'd miss him..

    Perhaps I'm a sap but I think a week is long enough. Two weeks would be painful.

    When me and my ex lived together he went on holiday for two weeks (he booked the holiday before we even met). I was very lonely and missed him a lot :( I think I could only handle two weeks max. I don't know anyone rich enough or the time to take a holiday longer than two weeks anyway so it's all good.

    Oh no, I must take a vacation. What a terrible idea...

    Hehe, I'd go it alone if I had to. I need a vacation. But I wouldn't want to be gone for more than two weeks. My husband left for a job and was gone for a little over two months and that got me sucked back into the world of IIN.

    The longer the better i have a different girlfriend in every country I visit, so it works out well for me.

    But I am a big time rap star so I always get mega huneyz :) make mad bank too ! Bitchez love it :$

    I sometimes am amazed at how awesome I am ALL THE TIME !! :)
