I once broke up with a man while he was still inside of me, I don't think i was the right type of person to vote on this thingy.

    *shrugs*

That... that is horrible. That must've been a huge blow to his self-esteem.

I've been through a terrible break up and took me 2 years to get over her but I found a beautiful girl who understands me and got over very quickly..see my point?

Yup. Exactly what I'm talking about. You won't happen to find someone amazing after every relationship that fails you, but when you do it makes everything better.
Personally I think I'm at that stage of being over my ex where to get completely and truly over her I'll just have to find someone else. It is the final step.

Tbh I agree. That's how I got over two exes.

No time....any time I ever broke up with someone it was soooo over that it was ridiculous. I was always the dumper, not the dumpee so that makes a difference of course but ehhh, over is over to me. I was really over them before I actually dumped them-or before they finally fucked off, whichever came first.

A friend always tells me, as I seem to have break-ups repeatedly, that it takes half as long as it took you to get into the relationship. Sounds about right.

Hahaha so naughty! By the way, I'm still trying to understand the last German comment without using a translator for the full text, just isolated words! I like to üben meine Deutsche. Almost there! :D

  • I can't feel real "love" because of a condition. My personality is that of a "shallow affect", i can talk about feelings and love but can't put them into action on the inside. So instantly, infact i'm often quite amazed at how people say "oh i just can't get over him/her", i can't help but think "but now you can just get a new him/her?"

You know how autistic kids are very talented and kind but if another kid was on fire they might just stand there and watch? It's like that.

It depends, I am currently going thought a separation and I'm still bewildered with the entire situation. I know personally this is going to take a long time, but I know eventually I will wake up one day and now, this is my day 1.

  • You get over them when you are ready to let go of any possibility of a future with them. It is different for everyone and depends on the type of relationship and the circumstances of the breakup.

Depends on how good the relationship is. If it was a bad relationship, minutes.

So far nothing longer than a month for me to get over someone.

It all depends on youu . From what i see you were really in love, but just take it day by day no one can tell you how long it will take for u to get over him/her. Just remember that everything happens for a reason .

I have had two relationships were I thought I was going to marry them. None of them worked. The first one took me about six months to get over and the second I was over him before we even broke up.
On average, I do believe six months is correct. Trust me, life will and does go on. Even though I have lost two loves, to put it Frank, I love my fucking life. Never been so comfortable in my own skin. You don't need a relationship to be happy. The only way to find true happiness is being alone.

It depends. Anywhere from a minute to a month I guess

I mean, it depends. If they dumped me it could take a month or two.

There have been a few cases where someone's been an ass, and when that happens it's surprisingly easy to write them off as a learning experience.

About as long as it takes me to smoke a few bowls, remember how heartbroken I was last time and how stupid I feel for not realizing how fleeting heartbreak and pain can be in the grand scheme of my life, and looking back on the relationship and realizing that I can be just as happy with someone else.

If I broke up with them, instantly. I was over them long before the break up. If they broke up with me, which happened I think... two or three times, it took me about a month or two.
