Depends how long you are with them and how much they meant to you.

It really depends how deep the relationship was. If you've known that person for a very long time like 2 years or more...then It'll take a good while to get over. If it's a year or less...then I'll be saying 'Next!'.

Instantly. Once someone is on my shit list, that's it. It's like taking out the trash...good riddance.

I've only dated one guy and it was only for like a few days. It took me over a year to get over him. I didn't even love him, I didn't even know him. I guess my feelings was just hurt. It taught me a lot about myself and my life. Idk if I regret it or not.

  • I was with a guy for a year and it took two years to get over him. We are still good friends. I was with another guy once for 5 months, I got over him in a second. Literally. He was awful to me and I realised suddenly what a twat he was and I lost all feelings for him instantly.

I was with my 2nd boyfriend at the age of 17 he was 23.I was very much in love with him. He had just moved from up north about 4 hours away. 6 months in to our relationship, I found out I was pregnant. He decided he needed time to think and went back to his hometown to stay with his mom. The night he left I got a text from his girlfriend. They had been together for 6 years. He had just got out of jail (which I did not know) and came down to where I live to "get his life together". And he had been planning on moving back for weeks. And he never came back. Oh wait...I didn't tell you the best part...his girlfriend is a transsexual drag queen that works at night clubs dancing and lip syncing. Straight Ru'Paul shit. The 1st 5 months of my pregnancy was spent fighting with his girlfriend as she told me how worthless I am. I know go to court every month to fight for child support. I had to take a paternity test to prove the guy I gave my virginity is my sons father. It's been 3 years and I have not dated since.

Apparently, it's been proved statistically that it takes 13 weeks for most people. The best thing to do is not see / be in contact with them at all in this time. However, that would be harder if you'd kids or a house to sell etc.
