How long do you have to date a guy before you are willing to have sex?

why do you think so many are saying first date because it will most likely be a one night stand and you will never see him again. if he has to stay and wait he will want it!! does anyone agree with this?? why or why not???

just depends on what u want out of it if theres potential to be serious then id make him wait for a couple months...if u have sex too soon then he could use it against u there could be trust problems...happened it me.

All these people saying first date and second and even two weeks to a month, did you discuss STDs with them? Even condoms are only up to 30% effective on a lot of serious, permanent diseases. I always wait until I am comfortable enough with him to go to the clinic, and have BOTH of us tested. It's not even a trust issue like I think they'd lie to me. Must people don't even know they have something until they've already potentially passed it on! I don't care how hot the person is or whatever, I'm not ruining my life with AIDs or herpes.

that all depends on if you know him before the first date. If its the first time you have properly met him then its different than if you met him as a friend and have known him ages...

Me and my husband were friends at least a year before he asked me to go on a date with him, the only thing we done was he kissed me ^_^ and he held onto me. We dated for a year and not once did we have sex. Both virgins. A year after dating we got married and four months into our marriage I got pregnant and we have 8 weeks until our son gets here ^_^. I don't really think anyone has the right to decide that for you because it's very personal and there are so many factors, like if you're a virgin, how old you are, how well you know him etc. For instance, I was best friends with my current boyfriend for three years before we started dating and I was a virgin before him. I had sex sooner with him than I would have with someone I had met at a coffee shop or something. Wait until you feel really comfortable.

I was in a relationship for 2 1/2 years until I felt comfortable enough go all the way, but we still did other sexy stuff at least a year before we did it. i think it depends on the type of sex ... like Blow job i would say is ok on first date .. but going all the way it should be a relationship first.. at least a week or two... but kissing touching bj etc is quite casual and often how we get to know a person in those ways.

Sex before marriage is perfectly normal just make sure that you love the person and know the advantages and disadvantages of your actions.
