How is water presented in your mind?

Hello there,

Whenever my mind thinks about water, I see the sky's reflection in it, as if water surrounds us all, the start of everything that we never actually think of.

Based on how you value water, how does it "look" like to you? How is it presented in your mind? Hell, maybe even how it "smells" like.

Tell me.

I remember a stream I used to visit when I was a little girl.

I would sit by myself on the same rock propped up by the roots of a tree. It was just enough so I could still sit my toes in the water. I would just watch and listen to the sound of water rushing over the rocks near by.

Where I would sit the water was calm and clear. You could see every detail of the rocks and still hear the flow of the water. The sun would shine through the trees and draw shadows into the water, I became so aware of the shapes of these shadows. Every season drew a new shadow.

That was my home, every year I would be right back there sitting on the same rock, propped up by the same tree, dangling my toes into the same water.

One day I'll go back and I'll feel whole again.

Interesting question, although I'm not sure I can answer. It makes me feel very thirsty, I can tell you that much!

Ocean waves mostly, reflecting our complex yet repetitive manifestation of emotions.

  • I picture a drip into an aquifer, like from the movie "Dune". And it has a cool relaxing quality to it.
