    As soon as I confessed my Atheism to them, they began to flock and attack me, and preach to me about "god's way". Even my aunts and uncles. I feel hated. ;-;

    Annoying fuckers that irritate the shit out of you, and you can't usually know what the fuck they're saying.

    Well I have two different sets of grandparents, they're all different people so I get along with them differently. My grandparents on my mom's side (we call them Nana and Papa) we're really close with, they're always really good to us, and they're home is like a second home.
    As for my grandparent's on my dad's side (grandma, grandpa and then my dad's bio dad which we call dad's dad because we really don't know him at all) we see grandma and grandpa once a year. My grandpa is great, he's funny and laid back, but my grandma I'm kind of intimidated by. I love her, but we don't have much of a relationship, people say we're a like in looks and personality, which I think is a complement? But see I really don't know, I don't see it.
    Stort story long I get along with my grandparents pretty well, I'm just thankful to have them in my life.

    3/4 are dead, and I only knew 2 of them. The one that's left I'm not close to. So my experience of grandparents is of pretty distant figures really.

    Mine were a lot of fun when I was growing up. Particularly my moms parents. I spent a ton of time with them going places and cooking things and fishing and whatnot. Good stuff. I only have one left and he's not doing so well :(

    My grandparents have been more like my parents my whole life. I never knew my dad and even though my mom lives with us they're always the ones who take care of the family. I respect them and I love them even though they can be annoying but I can't imagine my life without them.

    I like my grandparents but they can get so annoying sometimes. I love them all (4), don't get me wrong, they love me and stuff, but we are so different after all! I like hearing stories sometimes but they will tell me the same thing a billion times, and sometimes I get so tired that I just wanna leave and go speak to my friends instead

    It was great having my Grandma around. She was a disciplinarian but she loved buying me toys and she was way more fun to be around than my parents.

    I agree .. Well my grandparents were like a second mother & father to me .. Best grandparents a person could ask for , they passed some years ago now .. I feel fortunate to have had them in my life for as long as i did x

    Both my grandfathers are dead. Both my grandmothers live a long way away, but we make the effort to see them at least a couple of times a year which is more than most of my extended family who live far away is willing to do for them. They're financially and medically stable, but I'd pull my weight to look after them if they weren't. They're both nice, but I don't have a strong connection with either of them. I didn't cry when my granddad died, but I was numb-sad. I don't remember my other granddad.

  • I only had one grandparent and he died last year. We were close, I loved him very much. He was always kind and accepting, a very gentle man. I miss him so much and I wish he was still here.
