I can pick up anything, but rice. I'd rather eat that with a big ass spoon.
I don't use them all the time - but I can. Although I do find American-style rice (fluffy) to be annoying compared to Asian-style rice (sticks together).
I also know how to take food from a common plate with chopsticks - use the other end.
Ehh, I can't use them worth a crap. I need to use them cheater style (The paper packaging twisted up in the middle and bound with a rubber band)
I like chop sticks it helps you eat your food at a good pace to let the food settle in your stomach. I think its good to eat slow anyways :]
Im North American god damn it! Eating food is hard enough with a fork. Why would I make it harder? Only time I use chop sticks is to pretend to play the drums at the table.
I can pick up non-sticky rice and just about anything else with chopsticks. I can even pick up a fork, and use the fork while holding it with the chopsticks^.^ and no, i'm not asian, I'm just a boss.
I learned once but I was never very good. Now I just use them to impale bread rolls.
My Dad taught me how to use them when I lived on Guam, because some restaurants did not have silverware (they'd have some stored somewhere but I wasn't going to wait 30 or so minutes for them to find it). I'm good at it.
I could never use them for crap, until one of my ex girlfriends taught me how to use them and made me practice. Now I use them for every meal at home (i prefer Asian food if i'm cooking my own)and have become very proficient.
I've never tried using them with rice, seems like it would just be a waste of time when you could use a spoon.
With sushi and noodles and seaweed salad mmm ugh I'm hungry......oh, I'm really good with.
Ya you just made my mouth water! And Chopsticks work very well with the traditional sticky rice, but the regular rice takes a lot of practice to be able to do.
It is interesting to see how a Chinese person eats rice with chopsticks. There is definitely a technique to it.
I suck at using chopsticks. People try to teach me and it's like it goes in one ear and out the other. It's just too damn hard!
