How fwb handled an std situation

I had a friends with benefits that kind of fizzled out mainly because he claimed to be so consumed with law school so he was unavailable. Anyway about 2 weeks after our last encounter I noticed some rash down there, this started after I started using new sanitary pads on my period. This guy and I used condoms ALL the time so I'm so confused as to where this rash is coming from. It could be the new sanitary pads.

I did contact him and he called me me back and told me that he had zero symptoms and told me not to worry. Two days later I was still not okay and I then asked him for help as to where I should go to get the tests I'm a foreigner in Asia and he is a native here, there are language barriers so I can't go to any regular doctor and it's expensive. He ignored me for over 24 hours. I cried all weekend.

I then told him that sometimes symptoms in men don't show and that he too needs to get tested again. He then replied after leaving me on read for over 24 hours and he told me that he will go and get his OWN test and I ignored him after this. He later asked me if I'm okay now- I never responded. I know he is under no obligation to help me but I think the way he handled the situation is so tacky, ignoring me for over 24 hours whilst I was busy panicking, broke and distraught over if I have an STD or not.

The symptoms have since disappeared a bit so I'm guessing it was just an allergic reaction to the new pads but would you contact this guy again if you were me? Even to just say, hey false alarm?

  • He doesn’t sound like a friend and the benefit was probably small.

Who says he wasnt just busy? How do you know for sure he ignored you?

I mean he responded back right?

If he wanted to completely not deal with the situation, he didnt have to respond back.

No. Nobody is that busy. I don't care if he's in law school or the CEO of a fortune 500 company or whatever but a text only takes less than a minute. Even if it's to say, I'll respond more later I am busy. He clearly replied a bit and said fuck it and went on to enjoy his Saturday night and then only texted me back a good 24 hours later after I had bombarded him with more texts.

Not true. If there was a demanding situation, he may actually have not had time to respond.

If he got word his father was dying, I think all of his attention would shift really quickly.

Hard to say. Hard to say since it's over text. This is the barrier between texting and real life. You just dont know.

        It's just how it is.

STD as a rule are viral or bacterial in nature neither one causing a skin rash. its possible that you had jock itch a ringworm fungal infection that resolved on its own. its also possible you had a sensitivity to a napkin . where was the rash, what did it look like , how long did it stay. did you take a picture ? no i dont want to see it , im not a doctor. I'm an infectious disease expert. when a doctor removes something from you i look at it.
