How funny are jokes involving retards to you?

For me, a joke's a joke. Whether it's a racist joke, a joke about retards, dead baby jokes...they can be funny, but it depends on the joke. I have no sense of what's "appropriate", only a sense of what makes me laugh.

Retard. Ha! The word alone make me laugh.

I find them really funny, but I feel guilty laughing at them sometimes. I never tell them myself either, but if it is a funny joke I will laugh, but it makes me feel like a horrible human being.

If the joke's rich, then it's good - unless that person telling it had a malicious intention to hurt someone with mental difficulties.

My cousin, 23, has the mental capacity of a child. He laughs at those jokes too, though. He may be childish, but even he knows "jokes are jokes as long as you didn't mean any harm".

Personally, I think people who make up these jokes to make fun of retards (it's a term for Down Syndrome patients), are pathetic. It's as bad as bullying the weaker.

Some things you can't just change.

I don't like jokes about retards. That's nothing to laugh about. However, a joke is a joke, and although it's terrible to laugh at someone, especially if they have a serious mental problem, such as being retarded, sometimes the jokes are just funny. I don't tell those kinds of jokes though, and I always try not to laugh when they are told.

I don't consider anyone "retarded" except for those who have normal mental abilities and don't use them.

A lot of people fail pretty hard when they make retard jokes. I have to say I think South Park has done a pretty good job at tackling it for the most part.

I think they're really funny. I already put up with enough PC bullshit all the time, I sure as hell won't do it with jokes too.

my brain is at a 5th grad level im not good in math that well and yes Retarded people make me laugh even when no joke is told at all they do im Retarded so whats it matter i can say don't ever take any food around a Retarded person and eat it you'll get your ass beat from him i pissed one off before eating in-front of him just to see if he would get mad sure enough he did he said ima kick yo ass mike and i started running away from him

It depends- if the joke is putting down the mentally disabled, then no, but if the joke happens to just use the word, then it's fine with me. However, I don't think the second part is the case, so I'm not sure in all...

The only thing funny is imagining Michael Westen, Sam Axe, and Fi pwning someone who mistreats someone who's mentally challenged.

lol, i read them all, and then when it said when retards are present n no retard jokes are being told, i busted out laughing. I wasnt sure wat to put, but if i go with my messed up subconcious i gotta say, retards r funny, lol

Retard jokes just don't work very well. For example:

"So, this retard walked into bar. He sat at one of the bar stools, motioned for the bartender to come over, and said... UUUUURRRRR!"

"How many retards does it take to screw in a light bulb? A whole fucking lot."

"How do you know Abraham was a retard? Because he came from UUUUURRRRR!"

A few are a little funny, however I really don't like when people make fun of retarded people.

If a joke is funny, I laugh at it, subject matter doesn't matter to me.

Upon thinking about it, I find I do call people retarded a lot.

Lots of times I'll say retread (as in, re-tread a tire) instead of retard.

Once I saw this big goofy oaf of a guy call his brother or friend, whoever it was, a 'stoopit retart'. So I say that sometimes too, I found it pretty funny.
