How does this ident make you feel?

When I was a child, I had many videotapes which had this ident at the beginning and end.

I HATED how loud and sudden the music was, and how everything just seemed to fly into your face when I first saw it almost twenty years ago... and still do.
It really legitimately scares me.

TERRIFIED!! 2
I like it (please state why) 4

If I had to describe to someone from another planet what the '80s were, I would show them that.

It doesn't scare me. I have been scared by things which aren't scary before, though. Like 5 minutes or something from a kids show really scared me as a kid, and I just Youtubed it now and I still find it scary. Um, usually I'd post a link, but this a pretty embarrassing thing to be scared of and I don't think I can. Either way, you aren't the only one:). If you *need* me to post the link to prove that then I will, otherwise, I don't see the point in making a fool of myself:P. It's really that silly.

I have to admit I did laugh a bit and I can sympathise.

When he was a kid, Yahtzee Croshaw (of Zero Punctuation fame) was terrified of being chased and/or eaten by the Sugar Puffs monster!

I guess we all have our own bizarre little fears

There's this weird British kid's show that scares me and I can't remember what it is called. It has these rainbow coloured, fat, alien looking creatures. They don't speak at all. I was so glad when they stopped airing it.

There's a European kid's show called, Lazy Town. I like it even though it is extremely weird and has, at times, scared me.

The photos of The Clangers don't seem scary. It reminds me of the PS/PC game, The Neverhood.

It can't be as scary as, The Adventures of Mark Twain, can it? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ak3z2Pm7Iwg

And, it seems to perverted too. I just found this while googling the show: http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&ved=0CAQQjBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fi21.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb279%2Fjagcool%2FUni%2520Stuff%2Flazy-town.jpg&ei=njXOVO37FKHdsASdooHQBQ&bvm=bv.85076809,d.cWc&psig=AFQjCNFOQuMo_VH4RMf2KggsJiw3-ZHt7A&ust=1422886645885727&rct=j

It is weird that Stephanie, still was playing a little girl, even when she was too old for the role, age wise. O_O

Oh when I was a kid I would almost pee my pants when I heard the Unsolved Mystery Intro music. I would remember Mum would watch the show so she would send me to bed and I could still hear it from my bedroom, I would have both index fingers in my ears and sing a song to block it. That "Howling affect" in the intro really scared me. Even today as a 27 year old male, I still get the chills from the intro.

  • The jingle that accompanies it is awful and assaults the ears, but the visual part of it, for me, is just meh.

When I was young, I thought that Max Headroom was pretty scary.

Most 80s digital graphics were inspired heavily by Art Deco and lacked softness. It's not pretty, but I wouldn't classified it as terrifying.
