I receive far fewer love letters on IIN.

Other than that, I'm similar offline in that I possess an acute wit, remarkable intelligence, and shapely buttocks, but I'm far more quiet. Not shy, but tranquil and contemplative. Another big difference is that in real life I have a tangible physical body.

Nay, the cultural atmosphere of my hometowne of Appleby-upon-Westingshire is verye far removed from the strange custommes of Isitnormalia! Your regional dialecte is moste curious, and your faciale expressions appeare to be restricted primarilye to happye-face and sad-face. I shoulde note, however, that I appreciate the moste caring and loving ambiance of this small hamlet - I am tearfullye reminded of my familye in Appleby-upon-Westingshire - alas, I misse them so!

Yet my travels are not withoute merit, for a plan to bringe back the finest Isitnormalian artifacts - silke tapestries depicting customarye incestuous sex! Tomes and scrolles of poorly-spelled tales and mythes! Marble statuettes of their mysterious deity, the holy Management! Suche peculiar culture.

    Signed,

    Sir Reginald Fisticuffs III

The similarities are uncanny, the differences are astounding. But does it matter? This is still a part of me regardless of how I behave in real life. Is it more real here, or there. How am I not myself?

I talk a lot more and say a lot more stupid shit and get into serious debates that I don't have the patience or time to type. I laugh and smile a lot of the time. Other than that, this is pretty much what I'm about.

  • NeuroNeptunian

My irl self bears close resemblance to NeuroNeptunian.

However, I am less articulated in real life. I have to tone it down, so to speak...

When I was transferred to public school, I was received with anger. Students berated my style of speech, accusing me of talking down to them and of speaking too slowly as I liked to consider my words. I changed my style of speech and I try to tone it down for... how do I say... audiences that are not so accustomed?

Other than that, in real life, I am fairly social and can often be very wild and humorous, I'm also cautious of my audience as well. I come from a home where diplomacy was a necessity in handling my parents as they were divorced and very immature, I carry that value out much more fully in real life.

Mainly because I don't take the internet very seriously. So what you see here is fairly accurate in regards to who I am in real life. I try to be less insightful in real life. It tends to... throw certain people off.

  • dappled

I'm the same person but there are differences between dappled and me, because of the interface and the audience. I'm quieter in real-life but also funnier (it's easier with people from your own country). I don't smile in real-life but I do here. I'm more open here (IINers know things about me that nobody else knows). I can be difficult to know in real-life because my body language lies about me. I use doublespeak MUCH more in real life. I can't here because all we've got is the words we say; not the way we say them.

Having said all that, an old girlfriend of mine has started using the site and although I didn't tell her who I was, she knew just from reading one post, so I guess I must be the same.

P.S. And, Katie? If you're reading this, hihihi! x

It's just not something I've ever really done. I've got a picture of myself aged two and I had the same look on my face then as I do now. I guess I never saw the point of it.

I smile a little sometimes. Just not like you see in people posing for photos.

All of the above, depending on what the topic is. I try to stay true to myself, but sometimes the circumstances don't allow it.

I am the same online as in person. The only difference is that I actually get variety of helpful opinions and views here than offline. :]

  • Anime7

In all honesty, the IRL Anime7 is really close to the one online. Except, there are some minor differences.

IRL: I know a lot of crude jokes and I have been called a pervert (that side I try not to show). I can also be a bit of jerk. However, I'm still pretty smart and treat others politely. I offer a shoulder to anyone who needs it and I do approach people if something they said interested me.

On IIN: I guess on here I mainly try to be polite and not to offend people. In real life I offend people very easily, but on here I try my hardest not to hurt anyone's feelings. I still offer a shoulder but since it is online I don't believe that it could do a lot.

I'm more open here than I am in real life. I guess because I can say something here, and not have to look any of you in the eye next time I meet you (ie avoid you for the rest of our lives).

I think I'm kind of using this as a stepping stone to being able to talk more openly in my real life. Learning that I'm allowed to have an opinion and say it, and people won't shun me for it. One day I'll get there.

In real life I'm just some jerk. People hit me less on the Internet. This is the second site I've expressed myself on and the first I've expressed myself as myself.

I think i'm more myself on here. people talk about the kinda things i like to talk about on here more often than they do in life. It's kind of like an experiment for me, to see what people would think of me if i spoke my mind more, if i were more social.
