How do you let out anger in a healthy way?

Ive been really frustrated with a friend and when ever he bails on plans (80% of the time, ive set a boundary and wont be hanging out with him anymore) whenever he bails i get so fucking angry. So my question is: what are some of your tried and true ways to cope with and release anger?

  • I struggle with that myself. Finding a healthy outlet instead of bottling it up and it gets worse. When I was a teen i'd listen to screamo and punch pillows lol so maybe try kickboxing or something.
    As for your friend he sounds shitty I knew a person just like that once who bailed last minute everytime but luckily we werent close so it didnt affect me much in my life.

    Go for a run. The anger will fuel you. Keep running until you've burned all of that fuel.

    Also, he's a crappy friend.

    Get a punching bar or a huge overstuffed pillow and let out your anger on it.

    Say that you are angry and acknowledge that you are angry. As long as you arent abusive anger is a completely justifiable emotion.

    I make parody songs with explicit lyrics lol like
    "Nobody gives a fuck" You've got a friend in me parody or
    "My favourite things psycho version"
