How do you fly in your dreams

I wonder how other people fly in their dreams because in mine it's always taken a lot of effort. For as long as I can remember, in order to fly in my dreams I'd have to move my feet as though pedaling a bicycle (I don't know if I'm doing it in real life). The faster I pedal the higher I go, and if I stop I would fall. Lately I fly in my dreams by swimming through the air, but again it takes great effort to maintain altitude. In the dreams, that is why it makes sense that no one else flies, because they feel ridiculous having to kick their legs and paddle with their arms very fast in order to stay afloat in the air.

Is it normal that flying in dreams always takes a lot of effort, or do people normally fly in their dreams just by thinking about it??

Only time I ever dreamt of flying was the first night after I had ever been in an airplane (as a passenger of course). How did I fly? I just pulled the stick backwards and took off! :P

(that's the way they do it, isn't it?)

I'm usually powered by my gas when I fly

  • I am an expert at this one. I can fly in all my dreams. It's always come natural to me so I will explain how I do it.

First of all air in dreams is thicker than it is here. That's why movements are slower and it can be harder to run or make sudden movements. Have you ever noticed being weighed down?

To fly I first jump and push down with my arms on the thickened air. The jump will be slower than an awake jump so while in mid air jump and push down again. It should be somewhat like using a game genie on super Mario where you can jump on top of jumps.
Landing can be difficult to aim where to go but when you go down it's like floating slowly. To turn while going down move as if you are swimming.

I have reached as far as outer space by flying in dreams.
    Good luck.

When I want to fly in my dreams, I stick my arms out like Superman and use sheer willpower to get myself off the ground.

Ha, I think I remember doing something similar to that when I was really young. Lol

Usually you have to be on your stomach or maybe your back.

When I was young I had one or two dreams where I was flying. I was always in my neighborhood and flying high above my house. It actually seemed harder to get down to the ground than it did to keep flying up. I felt so light and weightless that the wind was pushing me easily, like ocean currents.

First you need to get a lucid dream, if i have one i start concentrating en believing that i can go up. but most of the time the dream starts to flicker my movements become laggy like a video game with a bad internet connection and then i wake up. normally i get a better dream if i go back to sleep after my first one and in this dream the flicker is not there but the dream is usually shorter.

  • In the dream world, thoughts make you fly, not your actions. you just have to believe it enough and you fly just like superman. Once, in a dream I had (after an acid trip), I flew like superman into outer space and was able to manipulate all the stars, and have power over everything in the universe. It was really incredible, truly incredible. And you don't even have to take acid to be able to things like this in dreams. Dreams are your own body's natural trip

Depends on the dream. Sometimes it was like swimming through thick air, sometimes on a "magic carpet" other times flying aircraft, usually airplanes, once a chopper and even a UFO.

I use to fly in my dreams but it was too easy and it got boring, now I just webswing around (a little harder but worth learning)

I fly in a lot of dreams. I love it, and it feels natural.

I've never had a flying dream. I'm usually too busy running from someone or something trying to kill me..

It's hard for me too. I tend to double jump like you would in a video game, and then attempt it...but it's so hard..

In my dreams, flying it just something I can do like walking. I just decide I'm gonna fly away and I do.
