How do you feel about this parenting technique?

I was reading an article just now and thought I'd get iin's opinion on a taboo patenting technique.
A mother of 4 young boys was dreading the day her sons would look up pornography and claimed that if she had her way they wouldn't even think about sex until the age of 25,
She feared that her kids would grow up convinced that a real woman must look like a pornstar and have a perfect body so she wants her kids to see her naked so they can see what a real woman's body looks like,
she changes with her door open and makes a point of showering with the bathroom door open so her kids can see her naked,

So iin, how do you feel about this, iin?

Personally I don't agree with it, I find it an unrealistic, damming and sexist view that men will grow up to think all women must have perfect bodies and that porn is a realistic view of sex, of course you will get a few that think that just as you'll get the few women who think the same.
I understand the concept and appreciate the sentiment behind it but there are many other ways to get the point across rather than getting naked constantly infront of your kids which in itself could invite a whole host of issues related to sex and views on nudity when the kids grow up

This is disturbing. ..and not a good way to parent.

I would think this would cause problems/issues for the young boys.

What happened to the good old sit down and talk about it method? ??

She sounds like a very bitter single (feminist?) parent who will probably screw up her kids no matter how she raises them, by instilling her hate on them.
I really don't feel a modest amount of accidental nudity in a home is bad or harmful, but I believe the nudity is by far the least of the problems in that household.

Whose husband left her for a 20 something cocktail waitress, and stuck her with all three kids. I'd probably be a bit bitter as well lol

Be as bitter as you wish, but passing it on to the kids is criminal IMO. Certainly NOT good parenting.

It sounds like she wants them to have incestuous mommy issues instead.

The other extreme, excessive prudishness, will cause the kids to have body shame issues all their lives. It sounds generally positive if the kids are 5 years old or younger. After that - enough is enough.

I don't understand why people freak out so much over nakedness and porn. There is nothing shameful about being naked. It does not mean sex. And porn is not taboo. Teaching them it is is a bad idea.

I can understand not panicking and trying to cover up (in some circumstances) though it's not something i would be likely to do personally.

Doing it intentionally doesn't sound right to me.

I've watched A LOT of porn over the years & still have a healthy expectation of how a real woman looks.

To be honest as I've gotten older I've started avoiding the "perfect" fake looking pornstars & much prefer the more realistic, girl next door, amateur type.

As for this woman nor wanting her kids to think sexually before 25... Why?
I think that could potentially be socially damaging. I mean we don't need any more pregnant 12 year olds but there's a happy medium & sex is nothing to be ashamed of

Shit, have you seen porn now a Days? They got it ALL. Dead are the days of the playboy pin up that starves herself and uses her trust fund for a boob job. Tons of amateur vids make it online that show REAL people, having REAL sex, in... REAL situations.
