How do you feel about the new youtube channel layout?

What do you prefer?

Side note: I don't mind it personally, but I wish we could revert back to old layouts if we desired.

What is so hard about that? Why does everyone need to use the same layout?

Can any web design people explain this to me?

Thanks for voting.

I don't like it! I wish they wouldn't make the change mandatory. I want my rights, you hear!

  • The original youtube layout was the best. Before google took over them.

I really disliked being forced to connect a Google account to my YouTube account. That was really annoying.

I can't even remember what it looked like but I'll take your word for it.

As someone who doesn't make content, it doesn't bother me personally (I find channels are slightly more difficult to navigate now, but I don't often do that so it doesn't bother me much). I know it has effected a lot an content creators badly though, especially those of medium popularity (not so big that they can afford to advertise themselves, but big enough to have an audience who aren't loyal to them), and if it causes problems to them it will eventually cause problems for me as a viewer if they have to stop making the content I enjoy because they can't afford it.

YouTube today seems to cater more and more to big, semi-corporate channels rather than small- and medium-sized "man-in-his-bedroom" creators (the demographic that helped grow the site in the first place).

I think it's terrible. I liked the change before this one, my channel looked pretty good. Now it looks unprofessional and aesthetically dead.

As I said on another post here, Google have fallen from grace. They've made YouTube too much about revenue and not enough about celebrating unique content from the most obscure corners of the world.

They're trying too hard to amalgamate every feature of Google into one, without considering the consumer. I don't want YouTube linked to Google linked to Gmail linked to Google+ linked to my address, phone number and other personal details. Yet it seems more and more difficult to choose just one of their 'products' and have it as a self-contained account. They're so concerned about competing with Facebook and Microsoft they've trodden all over their USPs and lost a lot of their 'heart'.

You-tube has gone to shit since Google took over and completely neglected the feelings of its users. I guess I am not the only one who noticed. Anyone want to help make a movement against this? I vote we create a ban on YouTube! BOYCOTT I SAY! BOYCOTT! They also did the following.

1.remove alert so we can not answer back if we get replys on videos or comments.

    2.removed the friend list

3.forced us into giving personal information without first notifying us. Which is a breech of contract

    4.deleted the pm system

Anyone else ready to organize a group against this?

I liked it when you could play your favourites on your own channel without having to open them in a new window (At first I didn't like it, but you get used to it and you find reasons to like it)

The new layout I don't like at all.

they have to STOP! There are way too many people complaining about the constant changes when YouTube can't even fix sub boxes, loading issues, etc.

I didn't even know it changed until you mentioned it, but at first glance everything seems rather intuitive. I didn't like the old format so this actually seems better in my opinion, but I seem to be in the minority here.
