How do you feel about prostitutes/escorts

I have been an independent escort since 2004. Meaning, I do not have a pimp or work for an agency or "ranch". I do not walk the streets. I have a professional website and work out of a private residence. I am married, a mother, a Veteran, a college graduate,and HEALTHY.

I know wives, students, and educated women that do this for a living. I know the stereo type that we're all on drugs and come from broken homes. Not necessarily the case. My clients are mostly middle aged white men. Most seem to be "normal" guys. I haven't had many problems. As long as they don't smell, I am happy.

I know it's a "risky business" but I do take precautions before meeting with NEW clients. I screen them all. I do not just say "come on over". I see about 5 men a week. Most of my visitors are regulars clients.

I'd like to get an outsiders point of view that has never worked as an escort or hired one. If you're in the business or a "John", please feel free to respond as well.

Do you all think we're diseased and damaged women who are products of sexual abuse?

    Whatever makes you happy. I just couldn't see paying for sex. Free sex isn't hard to come by. Some guys have more cash than brains.

          I don't plan on it...BUT, I do know many successful escorts in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s. You can never be too short, too fat, too ugly, or too old to be an escort. Most men will screw anything. :)

    It seems that most women in your profession are particularly lazy. Instead of a regular job and working your way up the ranks, you take the shortcut that gives you plenty of money, without need of training or an education.
    As a yachtmaster, I've known more than a few higher class call girls (owner's guests, not mine), and this seemed to be the most recurrent theme.
    I don't judge, nor do I feel I have any right to criticize; I'm just making an observation.

      i think its a smart move actually, prostitution is one of the most profitable things to do and they're taking advantage of.the fact that most guys and girls will pay to pay for sex.

      I don't see myself as being a lazy person but I have become accustomed to this life style. I like making my own hours, I like coming and going as I please, and I do make more money than I did when I had a "normal" job. This is no short cut, I can tell you that. It's not all fun and games. It's a job to me. I work on marketing myself every day. I maintain my own website. I also have to screen many clients a day, respond to emails, and phone calls.

      I also have to work on my appearance and maintenance. Gym, salon, photography, supplies, touring, rent for my "work" space, etc. I don't just sit on my butt all day. I don't have time to be lazy. Lazy people are everywhere, I ran across a few when I had a job.

    An ex of mine might have fitted into that category, and possibly opted for your choice here.

    Without wishing to pry into more than you want to share on here, is this what happened to you?

      I was NEVER sexually abused by my father. I just recently found out that my grandfather has been sexually abusing some of my younger cousins. So I guess it's a possibility that he may have done it to me when I was a child but I do not recall. I can tell you that I can't stand him or stand being around him. He makes my skin crawl. This was before I found out what he was doing.

    I think prostitution is a fantastic business as long as you work in the higher class. The lower class (street prostitution) isn't very good, but a private house or escort service like you is very respectable.

    In fact, I want to become a prostitute myself too. I'm too young for it yet, but there's nothing else I really like to do. But I want to work in the higher class, a private house would be perfect and I can already see myself working there. My parents know about this and eventough they were not really excited they still said if this is my dream I should go for it.

      I say as long as you enjoy it, why not? As a mother I would say, NO. I can totally understand where your parents are coming from. At least you're able to speak with them about it. My parent's would probably never talk to me again if they knew the truth.

      With any job, you have to enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, you're client won't. Being an escort doesn't guarantee you'll be successful or make a ton of money. Some people aren't cut out for it. It's hard if you want to become a "high class" escort. It took me a couple of years to build clientele and make a name for myself. It might sound silly to some people but If you want to stay in this business and make good money, you have to have a good reputation. Just like any other profession. We get reviews too.

      Stay away from drugs, SCREEN ALL YOUR CLIENTS, and most important, treat your clients right.
