Drinking a small glass of wine on occasion will not hurt a fetus. It will put mommy to sleep, which will be good for fetus. But clearly not everything is so simple.
In general, you shouldn't drink. But you also shouldn't consume a box of donuts a day while pregnant (or ever). That is far worse for the fetus than a glass of wine. And diet coke isn't exactly healthy for it either.
Just don't be stupid.
I agree, there is actually a study that has been proven that light drinking during pregnancy has absolutely zero negative affect on the fetus. In fact, children who's mothers had the occasional glass of wine while pregnant actually were smarter and did better in school then mother who abstained from drinking completely. People who judge and say they should die, you should die for wishing death on another person. Light drinking is NOT killing or harming the fetus so you are speaking out of pure stupidity and ignorance. Get educated people, stop living in the dark ages.
Donuts and diet coke don't cause Foetal Alcohol Syndrome so your comparisons are ridiculous.
It's drinking in early pregnancy, even before the woman knows she's pregnant that causes FAS
I work with a lot of mothers of various ages and many of them have told me their own obstetricians have told them it's okay to have one glass of wine as it relaxes your body a bit without hurting the fetus in any way. In fact, since you're relaxed obstetricians say the fetus benefits. Notice though I said ONE glass of wine and wine is not a hard liquor. Hard liquor is never good in any amount. I don't think I'd drink period if I were pregnant but I wouldn't judge a woman badly if she just had one glass of wine once in awhile w/ the permission of her OB.
Unacceptable. That means shes trash and really doesnt care if her child has an aweful childhood. Women should be beaten by their husbands or thrown in jail if they do this, lol jk not beaten. but really though, its equivelent to her going to her 10 year old son and just forcing him to sniff glue for a year straight until his brain is permanently fucked.
Pregnant girls who drink are selfish and irresponsible. They are harming their baby for life!
There is no known safe amount. Why take a chance. Knock off for 9 months. Better than living with FASD the rest of your life.
It's unacceptable. It's bad for the baby, it's bad for them, and if they succeed in harming their baby, it'll be even worse.
Plus, why take anything to make you feel even more sick? Honestly!
Heavy drinking is unacceptable. Even light / occasional / night glass of wine is questionable. My thought would be "Why risk it?"
Im gonna go an say what my first toughtwas "they should die". Thats a very selfish thing to do because that can cause the baby to get sick or even die.
wine in moderation during their pregnancy .. or the many birth defects & complications even retardation due to expectant mothers drinking once or twice during their pregnancy .. now they are facts & statistics .. !
are trying to substantiate their claims by saying such utter rubbish .. to which , there has been no such evidence at all as what has been posted here thus far in favour of drinking whilst pregnant .. ! Try working with babies who have fetal alcohol syndrome from mothers who only had a glass of -
They're fine as long as they know they can only have one 'small glass'. I'll probably be watching the pregnant woman who was drinking in front of me to make sure, haha.
One, maybe two drinks every now and then shouldn't hurt but to be honest coming from someone who was a regular daily smoker and also on the verge of an alcohol problem who quit both and has since become straight edge there's no excuses you can give to me for not being able to go without cigarettes and alcohol for 9 months. I honestly don't miss either I've got so used to not doing them now it doesn't bother me so for someone who's most important thing in the world is the baby growing inside them it shouldn't bother you either.
Sure, one glass of wine wouldn't harm your baby. But why take the risk? You are pregnant for nine months and it is your duty to give it the best start to life you possibly can. Is that one glass worth it? Plus, what's to stop you having another glass once you've had one? And drinking during pregnancy has been proven that it is harmful to babies, so you must be stupid to do it.
It's their choice not my problemPeople who drink &drive piss me off more.
going to the bar is okay
but not the beach in a bikini. im sorry, but baby bumps are fucking ugly
I think anyone that agrees that drinking during pregnancy is ok in the least .. Quoting "oh it doesn't hurt occasionally" & "theyv'e proven it doesn't hurt the foetus" etc Is merely trying to no doubt justify the fact that they have no doubt done it themselves during their own pregnancy & -
