How do you feel about people who dont speak english?

Okay I am not saying everyone person that does not speak English pisses me off, but there are a whole bunch who speak obnoxiously loud. I have to take public transportation daily and there are usually some non english speakers that talk so loud where it just pisses me off when I am trying to get a little rest in.

Loud talkers are annoying regardless of the language they are speaking. And lots of Americans are great at being obnoxiously loud.

By the way being loud and English and loud in their own language vs yours is no different. The only difference is in your tongue you understand what they are saying. It does not mean people being loud in English are any less rude.

I don't expect everyone to know English but I think that anyone visiting another country should have at least a basic understanding of that countries language.

I hate Spanish. It's an ugly language. You could probably blow up my brain with it like in "Mars Attacks!" if you speak enough of it to me.

Most European languages are much more soothing to me even if I can't understand them.

Being loud in any language is irritating to others. Be it English or their own vernaculars. I'm an Indian and I love my language but I love English a lot too. I mean I read and write only in english

I don't mind if they're just normal people, but if they're working as a clerk or something that requires good people skills, I want them to at least speak decent English if they're in an English speaking country.

Honestly, it can be frustrating sometimes in the work setting. They're trying to tell me something and I don't understand a word of it. I tried to learn Spanish back in high school. I took Spanish 1-3, passed the classes and the regents exams, but came out learning nothing. I even tried to learn after high school ended, but had no success. I'm not really made of money to attempt to learn again and going online/picking up a book for self teaching this sort of stuff never got me anywhere, so I have no idea what I'm going to do. I sort of feel like I fell behind somehow because BOTH my parents are Hispanic and speak fluent Spanish, but never bothered to teach me. Not sure if any of this makes sense.

I'm also Hispanic, but I think Spanish is highly overrated. I don't like speaking it and hearing it. Most of the fluent speakers don't sound educated, nor is the language audibally aesthetic. If I could I would give you my fluency for another, like German or Polish.
