When you hear a song thats vocals are auto-tuned, what do you think?

I only like it if it's there on purpose to give the song a futuristic/robotic feel (like Daft Punk or Eiffel 65).
I prefer when I can actually hear the persons talent. Some songs are so auto tuned the person isn't recognisable.
Hate it. It is cheating at music. Ever heard opera auto tuned? Didnt think so. SHUT UP!
It's cheating.
I really despise the "warble effect" it gives to the vocalist.
But then again, considering I like rock, hard rock, metal, heavy-metal, My opinions are based on people who actually possess talent.
It doesn't bother me if there is pieces of autotune in song(Metal-core), but I hate it when some "artist's" whole song is autotuned(pop, rap, pop punk),
When it's overdone it ruins the vocals for me, especially when the singer is good and doesn't even need it.
Auto-tuning should be illegal.
But this is coming from someone that listens to Heavy Metal bands like Pantera, Arch Enemy, Metallica etc.
People that actually have talent and don't require shitty studio effects. *Cough* Dragonforce *Cough*
I don't care as long as the song is creative and the singers are good wothout it.....otherwise, it's just a scam kinda!!
I like Auto-Tune when it's not abused. If it's just used for a couple seconds and actually makes the song catchy or something along those lines, then it's cool. Check out an I See Stars or Sleeping With Sirens song. I even heard it in the new single "VORTEX" by Japanese rock band the GazettE and it surprised me but was cool (for that short four second lyric!). People like T-Pain just gave Auto-Tune a bad wrap but it's really not that bad if the "artist" actually knows how to use it properly.
I love auto-tuning, mostly because I have always been into eurodance and similarly electronic-sounding musical genres.
I prefer to listen to the older music because in todays music industry it's more like he computers are singing.

So I'll choose I don't care for songs that have auto-tuning, to me they sound terrible.
